Thread: Dead accounts on Age I

I have seen many people say " I do not like inactive accounts" .... myself included. However what are all your ideas to go about fixing this problem. Sitting around with no valid ideas will not help.

How about leaving inactive accounts in limbo until they are logged on to after a merger? that way their accounts are honored yet not in the way if no longer used.

Of course I would like to hear other people's ideas as well. they may not be able to and may need multiple ideas for one they can do.

Just a humble idea, submitted for the discussion. What if they would leave any account that didn't confirm the merger messages in the old server, giving them a special Item like a Pioneer PassPort that they would use to move to the new merged server?

That very idea has been suggested many times over in many variations.
I seem to recall suggesting something about a state of inactives...all Flats that cannot be NPCed...or are flipped back at Maintenance. Placing these paying inactives there after a pre-determined amount of inactivity.

Thepolicy does need reviewing regarding inactives in my opinion. Policies on other issues have changed from time to time, so this should be looked at also. Perhaps there is a way to remove the city from the map but not reset the account (ONLY IN THE CASE OF ACCOUNTS WHERE MONEY HAS BEEN SPENT), so that the player can have what would normally be their last reamining city (not that it will be of much use) and all their items and coins, rank, title, research and anything else relavent intact should they wish to take up the game again.

I reiterate, this should only be for players who have spent money. Players who haven't would have no legitimate grievance to having to start again in my opinion.

I am certain that I am not the only one thinking about it, and if it has been previously mentioned, then my apologies for repeating myself: Evony dudes and dudettes, let's clean up house a little bit. Anything over 6 months of inactivity, or perennial 0 loyalty let their walls be crumbled and their memory erased from the book of kings. They just did not stand the test of time.

I totally agree, you can buy gift cards, & phone credits. And they both come with expiry dates.
So, if you dont use them, then you lose them.
Why cant the same be done here. Especially with each merge, the map just gets more & more congested with inactives.

Evony could, at least, delete permabanned accounts after some time -- even paid ones, because they have broken the TOS anyway and so are totally eligible for removal.

The irony is that some people with permabanned accounts started breaking the TOS because of inactive accounts, lack of space and so on.

In for a penny, in for a pound... so to speak.

I like this one! "The State of the Inactives..."

As a chapter title in a certain famous game went: "We don't go to Ravenholm..."

    Ahaha...awesome!
You'd think it would be the simplest most obvious solution too...

Im on ss59 as well and every where you look it is a sea of inactives. i like the idea of deactivating accounts and keeping it off the map till they log back in, such as when the next merger happens keeping them off till they log in.
