i use 8k warriors, 2k transports and 90k archers, 5k warriors and 4-6k archer losses depending on defending hero (i don't scout to find a low hero). The high warrior count is worth it due to the cheap cost and speed of recruiting as i hit 7 lvl 10 npcs a per city to maintain food for my army.
