    Default Any truth to this?

I just received this in an e-mail from ss47, it was sent to our whole alliance - any truth to it?

"As of late, there have been many rumors that ppl on evony can hack your accounts using the reports that you post straight from evony. Like the links you find on the bottom of your reports. In an effort to not allow this, please do not post anymore of your reports without first having them converted here: http://ww.evonyurl.com/ It is SUPER easy and takes like 10sec to convert a report. Then you can post it. Not saying it 100% effective, cuz Im not computer genious. But it should help. Thanks."

I don't know but it sounds to me like someone just wants you to use evonyurl.com more. Kind of like advertising but with the premise that you have to do it now that there's a chance your account can be hacked. I don't believe it but it's up to you whether you want to believe it or not.

    sounds very fake to me.
if thats a copy of it, it has chat talk and bad grammer. Offical evony notices dont, and generally its useless to listen to message from others like that, generally a big fat scam.

plus I think if you could evony would of fixed it year ago seeing as people post reports and such on here ALL THE TIME xD

When you receive an actual mailing from Evony it won't be riddled with typos and slang like that message was. It's a fake, baby!

Sounds like an advertisement ploy to me.
    It's all Rodri's fault.

I can remember a time when you could tell it was an official Evony mail because of the typo's and broken English.

    Things have changed.

It sounds like a clever evonyurl marketing scheme to get you to use their site.

Advertisement through fear... what are they, the TV news?

Ahh yes, the good old days...

Everytime I want to go back to those days I just look at my holy water...

"Heroes get sprayed by Holy Water will have faith"

    Ahh...

Actually, now that I look at it, all the items have ye olde Evony language. =D

Maybe an advertising ploy. Or maybe a ploy by a player who prefers to be given the reports in that format.

There are advantages to reports in that format, but I can't see how it would be possible to be hacked because you posted reports in the standard format and not in the evonyurl format. I would say the chances are about equal and at that highly unlikely.
