Lvl5 NPC then if the cap. happened earlier in the server, Lvl10 maybe if the servers a yr old.

Apart from tech. at the start of the game, i think you guys are overestimating the value of a Lvl10, they do need an awful lot of work to get it to player standard, unless your attacking someone a mile away.

If the inactives decide to come back and re-register, their accounts and last city will be transferred to the appropriate server.
This was standard Evo practice, or so I heard. I was surprised to see that all the dead accounts people had abandoned came with us to the new server. They were never validated or confirmed before the merge but transfered over anyway, even the ones who were banned. I figured that those accounts would never make it thru a second merge but was again proven wrong. They came over again.

I really think Evony needs to re-word their policy of never deleting an account if there was money spent. At the rate we're going, even with larger maps we'll be so choked with all the dead accounts and flat-filler accounts that there is no room for farms or anything else. I'd say take the account off the board and store it until the owner comes back and want's to reactivate it.

I guess part of the problem is there needs to be a place for inactive players to be placed. Evony has already said that paying players will never lose their accounts so those accounts need to go somewhere that the players can find to log them in if they return to the game.

Shifting inactive players to one central server after a certain length of time inactive would be a solution. Clears the other servers and allows inactive players to find their accounts if they leave for a certain length of time.

Say 6-12 months (not including time spent on holiday). Although I'm just mentioning what others have already raised. The real problem is once they return how do they return to the server they should be at? Particularly if more then one (or up to three I think at the moment) merges have occurred to their server. Could be difficult to work out where they should be.

The only cities that never get cleared are the ones that have coins. Charge an inactivity fee...perhaps 5 cents for every week there's not a logon. Eventually, their coin balance will be zero, and they will eventually (theoretically), be removed from the map after a time. If they logon after that, they can elect to take a lvl 1 NPC (not a 10), and they get another BP period and maybe a beginner's package for having their coins removed. But that's it!

Why not create another state.... a state where active members can not port or move into but is visible. After someone is inactive for a pre-determined number of days/weeks, their city/cities are moved to that state. If they ever do log back in then they will be randomly placed back into the game.

You could call the new state "Limbo"
