So, when America's deposit of water is drained, how will they react? Will u.s.a buy it from us friendly neighbors Canada?(We have large deposits) Will they think long term like other countries and perhaps, recycle salt water or something? What will happen? Could it even go to such drastic measures of war over it?

How will the other countries react?

Either way, water will be a lot more valuable in the future...Discuss
We will always have fresh water to drink because
    1. purifying undrinkable water is not a complicated process. i.e. removing salt and other minerals and chemicals from water.
    2. The rain cycle and the ocean. Water evaporates from the oceans, falls to the ground as rain. The rain trickles down through the earth and is cleaned in that process. It then goes into underwater rivers and so on which feed the springs and surface rivers. Water is a ongoing cycle. As long as water evaporates from the oceans we will be ok because that evaporation is fresh water.
Now, if the climate cooled and we fell into an ice age, well, the oceans would freeze over and the natural evaporation process would almost completely stop. Thus fresh water would not come from the oceans as evaporation. We would basically have a limited supply of fresh water ice to melt for drinking. But the good news is that if we fell into an ice age, most of the population would die. So only a very small number of people would need water. So there would be plenty for all.

If I had money to invest, I would put it into companies that are innovating desalinization technology. Around the middle of this century, they are going to be making money, hand over fist.
