Only if any of your communications or media comes from America, or travels through it. If you watch American shows, they have affected you because those shows follow FCC guidelines for censorship. If you use a website based in America it affects you. If you use google, then it has been created to follow FCC parameters and guidelines as well.

No offense to you guys or anything but can we go back to the "Rule Britannia" days at least then all you had to worry about was which cousin hated which (sometimes with disastrous consequences)

A lot of the communications governing bodies like the FCC in other countries tend to follow the lead of the FCC, anyway. If the FCC decides on a certain method of governing bandwidth, you will find that is the method copied in the majority of other countries.
