If you were doing this to get at an individual player then I'd see the point of it, but I don't like to hold grudges or hunt people down, I'm too much of a 'It's just a game' mentality. And if I do I'd rather move in with a nice big war city with full walls from an advanced port.
Yes I once took an 10 npc 150 miles from all of my cities using the arch/war method then moved all my mechs the 150 miles and then the guy went on holiday, not fun moving all those mechs back lol

well this is actually a very common way to get a lvl 10 npc, this is the only way to cap 10s near reds which many have done. But for those who dont know this, it will help a lot.

Recently I've had a problem with someone porting in next to one of my cities, telling me he's going to beat me up, scouting me, and then going into holiday. 0.o

I was like "You're kidding, right?"

That was weeks ago, he's still in holiday.

Mechs are something I would most definitely teleport a city for, the amount of time and food taken to move them 150 is nothing short of extreme.

I was a free player, and this guy was an extreme spender. I thought that it would be ironic that i would beat the **** out of him using free methods. Turned out that his way, use cents to holiday while i use up most of my food for nothing, was the better way lol

I don't get why anyone would be against this method. Sure you can use a port, and either have no idea where you'll land or have your hands tied behind your back for 24hrs. Depending on how good you are with the camp timer this can be done in a matter of seconds, cost next to nothing in troops, and allow you to move troops immediately upon capture of the city. Not to mention the fact that if several players coordinate their movement it allows the swift takedown of a much bigger player.

Just cause someone spend money on the game, dont mean you good, tough, or epic lol, anyone can spend all the money on the game, but if you dont know how to use it then you might as well be a newborn baby.

I guess suspending me for a day changed me...NOT

    Ardee, you will be missed.

The problem is that it doesn't take a matter of seconds unless you're right next to the city, and in that case, caving the thing would be much faster anyway.

Even if you do time it for a 3 second takedown, you're still taking hours of march time. You're losing the food to send the troops out which (As I recall, if you want to go an extreme distance, it's 1mil for 10k warriors from 300 miles away) can cost you 9-10mil food per city just to send, then there's the fact that you lose the ability to farm properly from the sending cities as well. If you send from 3 hours away, you lose 6 hours worth of farm time.

It may cost relatively little in troops, but in food usage the price can skyrocket, consider the 3 hour one way march time, if you're running at -10mil food per hour per city and you send from 4 cities, you've just lost about 240mil food, that's 80 5s worth of food lost because instead of locking up 1 city for 24 hours, you've locked up 4 which you can't farm from. Troop losses are not the only losses possible.

Also, if you're working with a team, there are ways to advance teleport without taking the 24 hour lockdown.

Seriously who cares about how much food it going to cost in marching troops to complete an objective? Try attacking someone with 2 waves of 100k pultz or 9 waves of a 100k cavs the food cost is insane, yet we still do it.

No offence dude, but if your worried about food in evony ages 1 you need to rethink you plundering and farming skillz

This method works perfectly, I found it to be the best way to get inside or close to players that think hives are the best answer for defence ..
