only way i can see it working off a quick glance is if Workers all die to trap (possible) and he 3 shots the cav (requiring ~600 ATT hero)

Thanks for taking the time to build such a good attacking calculator tool. I also like that you put an entire page of a guide together to help people use AeroCalc.

Week 9 voting and Week 10 entries.

can anyone explain how this mech wave lost so much? We did a 125k naked balli hit 2 days prior with only 13k loss. Hero info: 215 LD, 413 atk, 98 int, star set 9+. Balli must've targeted warriors before killing archs, but I don't see how.

afaik, you must have 1-shot the cavalry with your 170k bally AND failed to 1-shot the pike later.

To have low loss, you need to 2-shot cavalry so you can achieve Bally/Archer Tradefire in Round6.

Ah thx that makes sense. According to aero we needed more or less 220k balli to one-shot cav.

I have found the AeroCalc very very helpful. That said, there are still some results that do match reports, and in some cases in significant ways (not kill rate issues but rather movement/targeting issues). I have checked the movements on paper and the AeroCalc seems to be correct, yet Evony does not produce the results to be expected.

I have several examples, some more complex than others. But an easy one to test/check is: defending city has T/A/DT, has 2M warrs, 1M archers, a few thousand ballis (doesnt matter), workers (doesnt matter), but has 0 horse, pike or sword. The defending player has Compass tech at 9 (and HBR at 9, doesnt matter tho), all other techs at 10.

Try hitting the archers as an attacker (with all lvl 10 techs) using archer wave with cav layer only (abatis/trap/DT amounts in defending city miniscule, almost all ATs, so assume cav layer survives wall defs).

AeroCalc and paper-pencil show, in round 4, the Defending Archers at 3775 (using Aero-Calc start ranges of defender at 5200, attacker at 0). Attacking Archers are at 2000 with range --> 3800. There should be tradefire. However in actual game, you will not hit the defending archers (have tested/tried multiple times). Note: when defender has Compass 10 this wave will indeed exchange with defending archers.

Another example which was more random, and I have since lost report, concerned an attacking balli wave whiffing when defender had 1 cav, 1 phract, archers and warrs, I would need to find the report (and might) but the results were inconsistent with the predicted outcome (which showed the ballis hitting)

    hmm, interesting.

i have had other instances where archers fire @ 1800 range before when attacking but never that exact case. 1800 shooting pikes in an HC is why you cant get tradefire with comp10 before they die

I'd say it has to do with wall bonus. . .may allow the defending archers to move and shoot the calvary in the same round. . .and not get held in place. . .thus not achieving tradefire. But without a scout report I couldnt answer with certainty. . .I've never had issues with my calculations on paper to the reports produced. I dont use AeroCalc but I'm pretty sure Agg has it covered well enough
