Aren't Swords Faster than Archers? Isn't 275 > 250?
Hi All,
I am curious about something.
In the barracks recruiting screen, it says that the base speed of a swordsman is 275. The base speed of an archer is 250.
I'd expect that, since swordsmen are faster than archers, that the swordsmen would be the first to experience casualties because they get to the action faster.
But then I attacked a valley, and I got this battle report: http://battle6.evony.com/default.htm...e398dea1e2.xml
The curious thing about this battle report is that all of the casualties are on the archers, while the swordsmen had no casualties. I don't understand this. Did the cavalry run around the swordsmen and hit the archers directly?
This was a valley, so there were no towers or walls or what-not. I just don't understand why all the casualties are among the archers and not the swordsmen.
In case it's relevant, I do have compass level 8, but if that's it then I'd think that it would increase the speed of both archers and swordsmen both - not just archers.
Anyone have any ideas? Are cavalry smart now?
