When I was a young teenager, I had a dream about a day where I was grown up... my niece was missing, and I went to help my sister (the mom) find her. The atmosphere was strange outside, cloudy but still bright. We looked a lot of places, and it seemed everywhere we looked there were people doing.... ahh... hedonistic things. I remember coming upon a large jacuzzi thing were people were going at it, and saving my niece (thankfully untouched) from a bad man. At that moment, some... singing... could be heard. It was like no human voice could make, it was beautiful and incredible and haunting. Everyone looked into the weird sky and I saw what looked to be movie projector-type film, in giant magnitude, slowly moving across the sky. Each panel of the film had like a snippet of a person's life... I saw a girl with a bear in one, though I did not recognize the girl or bear... I did see one I recognized as myself--yet I do not remember what mine showed. The whole time as the "movie" played across the sky the "singing" continued... I remember being very, very frightened, though there was no obvious threat.

When I woke up, my heart was racing, and I could still remember the dream, but the singing eventually faded away...

At the time I had that dream, I only had a nephew by my brother. About a year later, I had a niece by my sister.

A few years later, I had the exact same dream (and reaction to it), but I do not know what triggered it.

During the dreams, there was no doubt in my mind that what was happening was the end of times. The kicker is, my niece is now getting close to the age she was in the dream... and she looks exactly like her dream version (remember, I had the first dream before my sister even got pregnant). The looks aren't even a likely, because she's tall, thin, blonde, very fair skinned and blue-eyed. (My family is made of short, chunky, dark-haired, dark-eyed, fair-to-tan skin people).

Oh... and I've had dreams come true before.

And I'm not even kidding here.
the threat is akin to nakedness in dreams, the fear of exposure. that everyones live was playing across the sky sounds reminiscent of the bible verse "from the roof tops" the idea being there will come a day when you cant hide who you are.
maybe thats what i'm picking up because thats what the theme from my dream last night was,
but it seems that its the same for you, there will come a day when you try to save her, and when you do everyone will know you for who you really are.

The pop being present in your dreams may indicate your spiritual self, and beliefs...and the internet can represent your need to communicate/network...rage in a dream also represents your need to express your inner strengths...maybe your inner spirtuality is one of your strengths and you need to share it with others....OR maybe you've just been naughty and the pope is there to remind you to be a good girl

Other then that i had a lotta "nightmares" in my childhood. (still occasionally now) Only they weren't about anything, i didn't see anything. All that happend is a really odd feeling grabbed me, still can't name it today. Doesn't really look like sleep terror to me, but i don't think I'd call it a nightmare either..

I wonder if you knew more about stuff like that..
If you saw nothing in your dream that can also mean something. it can mean your refusal to confront a problem. A huge part of dreams is manifesting the emotions that we filter through subconsciously that we might not necessarily deal with while waking...If you are getting certain feelings while sleeping it can be a sign of anxiety/worrying about something you've pushed to the back of your mind..

Getting back on to normal dreams, the only thing I can remember from last night was that I was running over the bridge near my school for some reason. If it matters, I wasn't running in the direction of the school but away from it. (I'm going back to school on Monday so I don't think it's too hard to interpret that one. )

I also remember a few years ago I had a recurring dream. When I say recurring, it might happen every few months not consecutive nights. I was always at home or near my home. There was a T-Rex on the loose and no matter where I hid, it would always find and eat me. At which point the dream would end, and I would be really frustrated because once again it found me! I blame Jurassic Park...
lol like you said the first was not hard to interpret...but I'll take a shot at the 2nd one

Being chased by a dinosaur in your dream can mean that you are afraid that you are useless. Hiding from it means that you are looking for a sense of security or protection...and to be eaten in your dream indicates fear of a loss of your identity...usually when one dies in a dream they automatically wake up...Basically you might have had a fear of being useless/losing your sense of self and feeling some type of insecurity because of it, and by hiding you are trying to regain some of that security..although you are pretty young and this is pretty deep considering how old you were at the time :P maybe you were just scared of dinosaurs :P

Imnot and starr I did not forget you but I am sleepy atm and your dreams are long...I will do them tomorrow :P

It was the cool, thin air that the Omnipotent always flew through. It was the feeling that he loved so much, he refused to give it up ever, in his life. It wasn’t cold in the slightest. Perhaps that was because of his gratefully-thick blue and green Airman’s uniform, perhaps it was because of something else. Something that didn’t even matter…

But there was another problem. The air was just slightly too thin, slightly too crisp; he was flying slightly too high. Kip tried dipping, pulling himself downward.

There was a tug at his shoulders. He spun in the air, and saw Elisai above him. She wore a shimmering dress of a bright blue, flapping and twirling with every smooth movement of her body. “Kip,” she whispered, and pulled him upward by the shoulders. She shifted closer to his back and wrapped her arms around his chest, pressing her face close to his.

Kip jolted. “Too high, too high!” he cried, trying to pull himself away and back down again. However, Elisai didn’t seem amiable to the suggestion of letting go. They tumbled and spun for a bit, climbing a few feet with each rotation. Kip tried to pry her arms off, but a slight caress from Elisai locked his arms into place.

“Kip,” she whispered again. Sky blue fabric rustled at the edge of his vision. But it was slowly growing darker, as the blue was leeched from his own clothes, traveling up through Elisai’s dress until it was stained a violent indigo. Kip was left in just a dull green coat and pants.

    Then Elisai let go.

Kip fell, screaming. The black of the sky was closing in on him, choking him… and then Kip hit glass, with an ashamed tink.

Kip lay there for a while, shivering in a cold sweat. He clutched a pillow.
And... that's about where it ends.

(By the by, I was unaware I had such inner spirituality. O.o)

I have a few good ones for you. Three of them are nightmares and one is just a weird one.

    Nightmare I-

All I see is a bicycle. It appears to be drawn with pencil, in "stick" form on a piece of plain white paper. It is on a red line, that is infinite (road like, but 2D). There is no one riding it, but it is clearly moving. I am standing about thirty degrees from the front of it, and I seem to be slightly shorter than the bike. I get upset every time I think of it or describe it in great detail (i am starting to have tears run down my face right now, no joke). It is a recurring dream. I've had it at least three times. Not only is it a dream though, but at one point, about three years ago, I would get this wort of depressed, helpless, hopeless sort of feeling. My mind seemed to be filled with a buzzing sort of noise. And I would see this same damned bike. The feeling can best be described as a losing a loved one, but having the shock have somewhat sunken in.

    Nightmare II-

In this one, I see a roughly hewn wooden table, about 4 square feet or so. On it, is a single red rose in a vase. Behind it, is a swirly vortex (similar to those hypnosis thingys) except it is black and red. It makes me very upset when I have the dream, but it doesn't affect me in my daytime hourse. It is also recurring.

    Nightmare III-

This one is more of a feeling. While I'm asleep, I get this awful feeling that I am destroying the world (that's the best way I can describe it). I feel like an utter wreck and a terrible being, but I can stop myself from doing whatever bad thing it is. I feel totally helpless. The only visuals I have are something about folding and unfolding, corners, and stitchmarks. I admit, I have woken up sobbing, shaking, and scared to even get out of bed. I have actually needed my mother for comfort on these occasions. I have been so terrified it's not even funny.

    Odd dream-

This is one of the clearest dreams I've ever had. I'm in a tropical rainforest on a bright, sunny day. My auntie's old silver Nissan pickup truck is on a dirt road. There are huge clear jugs inside the tailgate filled with red juice. I walk down a hill (it's a continuation of the road the truck is parked on, a switchback sort of deal) with the task of picking pomellos (a big citrus fruit about three times the size of a large grapefruit, with white pulp, with almost zero flavor). Apparently we were Laing red juice out of these pale white fruits. So I'm at the bottom of he hill, and I turn around and see three sheep at the top. One is black, one is brown and white, and one is black and white. I chase the sheep up the hill, and... The dream was done.

Well, I'm no good at this, but Thorn, I'm pretty sure the color red has a lot to do with everything in your nightmares. Now, I think it could either symbolize some sort of passion or romance-unlikely, in this context-or... well, anything that could go after the "or" is probably not good.

For some reason I don't think the red has anything to do with passion or love. These dreams started when I was way to young to experience such emotions (about 10 years old I think). Well, at least, experience them in the same way I would now. I'm thinking, that it may instead symbolise blood, but that's only because I think I have ruled out love and passion.

Random thought... Ive had alot of running dreams lately...

    ok, onto another dream...
So there is this massive prison... more of a dungeon because its dark and damp and everything.... there were jellyfish on the floor... the kind with really long tentacles (maybe a man of war jellyfish?) the windows (which were blocked by dirt) were lined with empty pots... though some were partially filled with dirt... So I have had to walk around to find a way out for a while when everything starts turning into a black and purple ice... a hot ice... the higher number level of the dungeon the more of this ice was there, until the dungeon was made out of ice completely...

I have a recurring dream where I'm stuck in a baby's crib, watching three stick figures sitting cross-legged playing cards against a black background. Then the sides of the crib fall away, and I accidentally roll over the edge and start falling into my mother's living room, except all of the furniture is replaced with rocks.

As soon as I hit the ground, the perspective changes and I'm staring at my dead body, except that I'm not myself. I'm staring at my dead body as my alter-ego, Toby Chevalier, who I made up when I joined this site. Then my dead body gets up and jumps out a window, and the perspective changes again so that I see the ground rushing towards me, except it isn't ground, it's just pure blackness. And then I wake up.

So what will you do when they call your name and you're not ready to go?
Everyone will stare at you and tell you what you know
That you're in too deep and you can't quite keep your secrets, one and all
We might just make it after all, on our own
