    Default server maintance

is evony USA bias, server maintance is always done to favour the USA they get more build time than the rest of the world!
    please discuss

People tend to play in the morning, even if it's just to log on and send out a few farm attacks.
People tend to play after work/school
People tend to play late in the evening.

America is the #1 market for Evony players(like most MMO's)
Europe is the #2 market (also, like most MMO's)

The 4ish time for maintenance has the benefit of not interrupting any of these 3 major play times for either of those two markets. It is the middle of the night for America, and the middle of the work/school day for Europe.

If they move it back to be the middle of the night for Europe, then they interrupt America's evening play. If they move it forward to the middle of America's work/school day, then they interrupt Europe's evening play.

The current time of 2ish to 4ish server time is really the best choice. With any worldwide game that crosses time zones, there will never be a perfect time.

    The time is arbitrary.

If 00:00 server time was midnight GMT, instead of 6am, that would not change when the American players lof in. If 00:00 server time was midnight GMT, instead of 6am, then maintenance time would be 10ish.

what are you all you europeans moaning about?

If you can get on pre-maint for an hour or so you can get double farming done, granted in the winter once the clocks have gone backwards unless you get up early anyway then this may be difficult, but even for half of the year at least, maintenance works in our favour.

I live in the uk... And Maint used to be in my favour...
I used to wake up, Bang some farmers out, Maint would hit, i would leave for while while the evbo distraction was not there, Get to work, Logg on, bang out some more farmers.
It doesnt work any more however, to the reason, Latley i over sleep ... ALOT.
So no i do not think that the maint is Bias. I think evo picked a time when the severs have the lest ammount of traffic on them (imo - not fact). I like maint happening when it does... Just wish i could wake up a lil bit earlyer to gain full advantage of it again...

with a worldwide game and language servers why no european servers then as for less traffic i dont see this at all if anything its less traffic around 10.00 server time from the servers i play.
