We all know that the Marketplace is player controlled and that it is based on Supply and Demand, the more something is sought for, the higher its value will be in the Marketplace. We also know that as the server gradually begins to grow older, prices will gradually increase. This is understandable because of the amount of Gold that is entering the game from farming NPC.
But the one thing that confuses me is the fact that Stone also begins to increase in prices as the server goes on. Early on in the game, while stone is cheap, players will buy massive amount to protect their resources. Then, later on, when Stone is worth 5Gold Per stone, many players will begin to use Stone as the resources defender.
Now with that clear out of the way, the thought I been having is "Why is stone price continue to climb higher and higher?"
My logic follows through this:
Server Begins: Stone is quite high to build buildings
Server After finish with stone: Somewhat still high but slowly coming closer to Lumber/Iron
Early Server - Midgame Server: Stone will be low and be bought in billions to defend.
Midgame Server - Stone is getting higher until it reach the 1Gold Per Stone
Late Game - Both stone and Gold will be used to defend resources.
Now what actually happen is:
erver Begins: Stone is quite high to build buildings
Server After finish with stone: Somewhat still high but slowly coming closer to Lumber/Iron
Early Server - Midgame Server: Stone will be low and be bought in billions to defend.
Midgame Server - Stone grows in prices until it passes Gold
Late Game - Stone has reach more then Gold.
Stone should be used to make mostly Pults and DT (If anyone is making those). So unless people can make Instant Pults, stone should not be worth that much.
Does anyone care to theorycraft why?
