Default Many Evony Players Doing it Tough

Tonight in Queensland, Australia many Evony players are doing it tough as the cleanup begins in earnest as flood waters recede. Many of you may know Aussie players who are living within the disaster zone and I am sure that we all hope and pray that all of them are safe and well and return to their alliances as soon as possible.

At this time there are 16 people confirmed dead and a further 55 still missing. The towns of Grantham, Toowoomba, Ipswich and the city of Brisbane and suburbs are among the worst affected areas but there are more than 62 towns and millions of hectares of farmland across Queensland that are flood affected.

Many Brisbane and Ipswich residents were allowed to return to their homes today to begin the heart breaking task of cleaning up and assessing the damage. They were bolstered by an army of volunteers from drier areas around Brisbane and although many have lost nearly everything they own, community spirits were high and amazing progress has been made so far. That is not to underestimate the task at hand. Some areas are still closed by floodwater and much of the State's vital infrastructure still needs to be repaired or replaced.

I would like to ask all players of Evony to consider a donation to help aid the victims of this flood disaster, which includes players of Evony that you may know. I know that times are tough all over the world right now and money may be tight but even the smallest of donation will help out. So perhaps you could think about it, the next time you go to purchase coins or whatever and consider helping out? Every little bit helps, thank you.

Still no land line or mobile coverage to speak of (thank goodness for satellite isp) but actually watching the radar during the storm was a double edge sword, we kept wondering of it would ever stop.

The levee I built in preparation held (with a little extra digging during the downpour) but the stock dam on the back paddock burst it's walls, I suppose while the water was subsiding Tuesday night, because at 7pm I couldn't see the dam's top as the entire paddock was submerged.

I hope all those that have a long hard road ahead of them can face the struggle with courage and determination, i am a volunteer that helped with the preparation and i will be helping with the clean up so i have seen first hand the devastation this event has caused.
Be strong and with time you will make it through this trying time
