Normally I think I would insist it has to be said within the same structure, but your separation from the group makes it OK for reasons of fun and gameplay to make an exception. However, be aware that the plot demands a return to the inn from both teams anyway.
i use the power words Forge another Sweetheart on jurnis's smith. he should feel mind-numbing guilt ether for past deeds that remind him of this very situation, or for abandoning that which he swore to protect. this guilt should drive him to recklessness ether in the form of lashing out at everyone around him, or driving him 'underground' in town till he can save his honor by finding and protecting that which he swore to protect.
since these power words cant be heard, i leave it to him to find some visual reminder to que their power over him.
