No, I do not. The topic is Is Evony out of Reach of Social Players ?

My contention is that for the milk and cookies, a well organised arrival, for a team of 100 players who were prepared to buy one or two batches of coin each, gave them a significant advantage over those who did not.

This advantage made a build, difficult and frustrating, even for a dedicated player, let alone a social player.

The assertion that there is something magnificent and skilful in applying that advantage, to a player straight out of beginners, I find that difficult to perceive, but kindly enlighten me.

That continuing to apply that advantage to harvest a player each night is going to discourage their participation and leave a dead city, is another assertion made, and then to complain about the space junk on servers, I find that rather incongruent as well.

There is also the Gadfly Host, who flits from server to server, and for a social player who is not skilled in the subtle nuances of gameplay, and while learning to place a building on tile is a minute or two of someone's life, gaining enough to make a decent efficient city, see my pix, there is months of learning, in some cases, for those who are not game regulars in other game genres. Someone with the patience to keep a less skilled player on track is rare but this view may be wrong.

For a start most ab intitio players are likely to build 10 quarries 10 farms 10 mines 10 mills because that appears to be a good idea. The rally spot in the far right with the feasting hall is essential in my view when harvesting NPC10s or for that matter NPC5s. 19 barracks with troops which are not stacked but spread is another strategy, to enable to maximun to be gained out of the attack hero. Even understanding the use of heros may not be apparent at first.

Evony has a business to run and staff salaries to pay, so payment is necessary for the game to continue and that is conceded. However for those who will dabble for a few hours, a couple of times a day, Evony will clearly be a frustrating experience. The game does suit a particular person, who is logical and has the ability to acquire the knowledge and process that into game strategy.
