In an interview with Wildmanweber, newly appointed host of Tonnage, I got a chance to sit down with the host of one of the most powerful alliances on the server to ask some questions that I have been dying to ask. I was imennsly impressed with the new host and I feel that we may have a very honorable enemy in Tonnage and Wildmanweber.
Of course the question of my mind that I fist had to ask was, how are you different from Imhotep, how is Tonnage different from Tartarus? As we all know Tonnage got off to a rough start when very shortly after formation the then host 34Ton lost a city to BigBird of Poison. Wildmanweber had this to say. "The difference between Tartarus of the old days and our alliance is that we are now without Nefertitti and Imhotep and some others who wanted to have a no maintenance alliance, which they formed as LETHAL. People will find us a wee bit easier to get along with as long as we are not wronged by them. Same basic crowd - less intense attitude."
I was intrigued by this answer and pleased to hear it, while I dont expect the war to change, a uptake in attitude would be a welcome relief. I then asked if he could shed some light on the truth behind the subterfuge about why Imhotep and crew left, In response "they want an alliance where they dont have to babysit weaker players, or teach less skilled players how to play. Not so much autonomus, but less helpful to weak players, of which they have none at present. As well, I believe (but cannot confirm) that several of their members only wish to play part time due to RL comitments."
We also had an off the record conversation of which of course I will not put here as my integrity as a journalist is without question. I can say that I am very pleased with the new host of Tonnage.
So the game begins an new and we fight our valient wars, who will win only God knows that answer.....
