    While the Egyptian government is not necessarily good for the Egyptians...it is in fact good for the United States. In fact, Egypt is receives one of the highest amounts of aid from the US after Israel. The Egyptian government under it's current leadership has been very cooperative with the US. Since it is the biggest Arab/Muslim country and is very geographically close to Israel, Palestine, and also close to Iraq and Iran as well, it benefits the US to have a government in power here that is willing to cooperate with them. The same can be said for the former Tunisian government-they were also cooperated with European and North American governments. No one said world politics were pretty!
