Default How Is Your Attendance Recorded In School/Work?

To start off, in the new school building (which is nearly completed), the attendance of all students will be recorded by means of face recognition biometrics. Currently, we do this by using one of those "swipe cards" that has a bar code, a picture of us, our details etc. We "swipe in" every morning and at lunch to register our attendance. (Plus a roll is called for every class.) They are replacing this system because students would often forget/"forget"/lose their cards and be unable to "swipe in". Also, you could just give your card to a friend to swipe you in and skive off school. (Or whatever slang you want to use for it.)

The point of this thread is to post how you register your attendance at school/work and/or discuss biometrics as a means of doing so. Some parents will be against it because their child's face will be in some system and they don't like it. (You know, those crazy parents that don't know what they're talking about? ) However, the system actually just stores the reference points of your face, not an image of it.
