If the answer works, then it's right.

Just because it's not the answer you were looking for, does not mean it doesn't fit the riddle. I could have gone with one of the other guesses of "footsteps" or "time." But, I though of something clever and went with that instead. If "time" is the answer you are looking for, that does not invalidate "footsteps" as a correct answer, too. Many riddles can have dozens of answers that fit.


edit: Ghost's answer of "air" is a good fit, too.
So far, that's 4 correct answers (poo, time, footsteps, air), and it's only been a few minutes. I bet if we were given a day to think about it, more answers that fit the riddle would be posted by other members. And all of them would be correct, if they fit the vague criteria of the riddle.
