This is the now the 6th or 7th time in a row that server SS54 has been out for maintenance for almost an hour.
I'm getting sick and tired of it. What the hell is going on?

but its soooo much fun waiting for server to go back up on ss54!
.....uhoh my sarcasm meter just caught fire![]()
I'MMMMMMMM BAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!
norr is basically a lesser version of shep
hes not as awesome as me, but hell do root (nod)
The 'strange' thing is SS53 goes out a couple of minutes earlier than 54 and gets back after about 15 minutes, like it's supposed to be.
I think it's an Evony employee that's having a lunch break right after he put SS53 back on.
Another long maint....Hopefully at some point they'll stabilize our server and make it less laggy!
No... What is happening is that an Evony group goes in to set the servers to maintenance mode and takes them offline. Then they proceed with the inactive/cheater sweep. usually an NPC clearing too, I am hearing. But, right as they finish up, they all trip over the power cord and knock it offline and repeat this about, 2-3 times. Then they finally become careful enough to not trip and the server finally pops back online (ALMOST). Oh and then, they accidentally hit the "Erase Server Data" button and roll it back. 1 hour later, it is back.
And I don't believe it is the game that causes the lag. It is Adobe Flash Player, the plugin that Evony uses to run. Flash takes up an incredibly insane amount of system resources. Some time I will take a screenshot to show you.

That kind of "lag" exhibits itself as slow movement on the map, and usually only manifests itself after being online for a while. It also usually doesn't impact every single person on the server all at once...
I really was wanting to head on to bed soon, but I suppose I'll make an account on ss54 to check around. When I did the same on 150, which did indeed have server-side lag, it was instantly obvious to me that it was something different than a client-side issue...
Will edit with results...
Edit: Does not seem to have lag right now.
