    Default Evony Support? Does it really exist?

    Alright so I had an issue with an account yesterday. I had let a friend watch my account on 148 for a few days. Well this wonderful friend of mine gave my info to someone else. Who promptly changed the password put a new security code and added a secondary email.

    So I try and fight to regain control of my account for a couple hours, finally I get control again. Only the guy reset my account on server 150 our of spite. The server I just spent 30 dollars on and bought items with said cents.

    So I get a support ticket. And send an email to billing. Explaining that I now have full control over the account again. My own security code, new pass, and my email in the secondary email field.

    Do I get any response? NO only the crap automated one from the ticket.

    Evony whats up? Its been about 20 hours now and not a single response.

    Im out 30 bucks, partially my fault for letting someone I trust (Hachi on server 148) watch my account. And also partially my fault for spending money on your game.

    But you could atleast do me the courtesy of responding to my email. I cant exactly file a dispute with paypal either, because 1. It isnt fraudulent, I processed the transaction, and 2. I did recieve the items. I just lost them because of untrustworthy players.

    Is there anyway I could get my account back on 150? I doubt it cause Evony support doesnt seem to exist.

    Im reasonably ****ed. I have been taken advantage of so badly.


    So heres a lesson to everyone. Dont share your details ever. And if you do be ready to lose real money because of jerks that play this game. Also this security code thing is great, use it, or someone else might use it to steal your account from you.

    Also if any staff wants information on my account I am more than willing to give the email address, as it is not the same as my forum accounts email.

    It just isn't a battle you are going to win if you expect a real answer or resolution to your problem after just 20 hours. It is advised you wait about a week before you make a rant thread complaining about it.
    And you really shouldn't give your account details to the staff. If they really are staff they will not need to ask.

    Well, you're not SUPPOSED to share your details with anyone.

    • The e-mail address used for the registration of an account must be under the personal and exclusive control of the person who registered the account.
    • There is no compensation for damage done by someone logging onto your account, no matter how they got your password, so keep it safe! This leads to the next point.


    What do you expect, honestly?

    You can get account sitters, if you inform Evony beforehand, but I doubt that absolves you of responsiblity for entrusting it to someone untrustworthy.

    However, account sitting is allowed. I assume you did that ahead of time?
    and that account will get banned one way or another if you didn't tell an evony representative ahead of time, multi-player.

    At least they learned. And, oh yes, I really hope that you learned that rants aren't really supported unless you can prove your patience. 20 hours is not long. Evony receives thousands of tickets daily.

    You account is dead by not intent or wil of your own.

    You have recieved nothing in exchange for your cash.

    You have exhausted evony provision of remedy as evony have failed to reply.

    You have cause to charge back the $30 as you got no benifits from it and the items purchased with it.

    It's not like you're going to reuse that account now, it's worth abandoning and opening a new one.

    As for account recovery, you could wait months to get the smallest thing back. I know players who spend several thousand dollars a year who get nothing but patronising responses to genuine grievances so don't hold your breath over $30.

    I wrote a message to Evony and am still laughing at the response. The fisrt line was "Customer satisfaction has always been our top priority" ROFL
    Funniest thing ive heard for a long time. 2nd and 3rd lines were basically "but were not going do anything about this" Evony support = oxymoron

    Khaotic, 20 hours is barely anything. That's not even a day! I've waited several MONTHS before I receive a response from a big company like Evony. I would say, if you don't receive a response within a week then I would understand that you are mad, but not 20 hours.

    And if you do get a response from them, I doubt they will do anything. They do not have time to tend to every single person playing Evony.
