I was once in an episode of The Graham Norton Effect.

    What did you appear in?

    Shush, whoever you are.

Allow Rota to share his worldly knowledge unfettered.

If Rota was actually an actor practicing a role as a hermit, I think he has the part nailed.
    Reality scripted TV.
    Chasing fifteen minutes of fame.
    Fight over fuel.
    Violence in school.
The youth are as confused as I am.

I have no screen credits, I had bit parts in a few local plays. I did a lot of stage managing, and various "techie" tasks with sound and lights.
I was in the Nutcracker for a few years running, but that was when I could dance. Ballet eff'd up my knees, I don't recommend that men participate in ballet. Though I can certainly enjoy a show as a spectator.

i enjoy the new version of DrWho in a completely different way than i did the old ones

these days there are heaps of special effects and lots of plot twists that are centred around the fact that the doctor has already regenerated the maximum allowable times
all of the shows are wildly connected to each other and the characters keep returning in alternate timelines. the master is a lot more blatantly insane in the new shows and i find that fun as well
i especially like the shows when the doctor goes back (or forward) in time to leave himself a clue of how to get out of the impossible situation he's in

in the old days (when i was a kid) the show was more of a serial than it is today (IMHO) and the production was a lot simpler, as everything was in the 60s
you had to imagine that the china clay fields of cornwall were on some distant planet and that the daleks were really scary even if they did look like an industrial vacuum with a plumber's helper for a hand

Throughout the 80's, me and my dad would watch Dr. Who reruns on the local PBS station. I remember them fondly as a bonding experience from my youth.

The new ones are far better than the old ones cause advances in technology. Alas, we have forgotten about the wonder years.
