    I know this glitch. and trust me it's not a small percentage of users who know it at least on my server unless the count included dead and noob accounts.

    I have no problem with this specific fix however, because it's evony's game and we agreed to play it on your terms. And maybe every 1 player that quits because of this fix you save 2 players from quitting in the long term. But may I have a suggestion?

    why did not only combine troops from same city with no leading hero? think about it, this way you can still play defense by hiding troops in valley without using multiple rally spots. And fast troop moving and free upkeep are prevented because a hero does not lead more troops than originally sent.

    And I really do not like the way players are being treated right now -- sudden changes without warning. for example last time you changed the login mechanism to prevent alts but there's no warning -- what's the purpose of the announcement box on the bookmarked login page if it's not being used.

    And when you say, you "will most likely be tweaking other mechanics over the next few weeks and months". May we know what these tweaks are? And if it's "to support game balance", I assume you are trying to reduce players troop size and make attacks harder so players dont get zeroed and quit, correct? The only reason a player quits is because he/she willingly does so and is not because he/she is forced by another player in the game, correct?

    But what is going to happen and how 'fresh' are you going to make it like a different game?

    for example,
    * Is NPC farming going to have, say, 10% troop loss of all kind to discourage players from farming them as often? -- so people dont get tired of farmin and even if some players bot, they dont get massive resource gain.
    * Is Scouting mission going to lose heroes? --- definitely makes attacks harder
    * Is instant troop going to be removed to be at least 1 second? -- makes troop building slower
    * Is bot going to be removed or will they be kept to balance spending players --- more truce/holiday

    I am losing interest because I dont want to spend another several months to end up playing a game I do not like.

    I wish Evony keep being profitable, while still being a fun game to your customers.

    Its nice to actually see the people who run the show on evony making an appearance and responding to the players. My question would be is there anything that can be done to address the food issue in relation to moving troops long distance. I think it can be agreed that in a game which is made for war and not farming that needing to come up with billions of food to move your troops is not really feasible for most players. Is there a way the price can be made more reasonable to move troops? I'm not so concerned about the movement speed would be nice if it was faster but I can move up arch for short term defence while my army moves up. This will enable the most interesting types of attacks and strategies to continue to be utilized and keep the game interesting and fun. Also would be nice if you could fix it so they take as much food as it says they should. I don't know how many times I've almost refuged because a march cost waaaaay more then indicated. Also being able to stack more troops in a valley or maybe make it so once in valley they dont use up as many rally spots? Or maybe 1 rally spot per valley? This will enable us to employ effective defence styles. Otherwise say we need to truce and don't have enough food for the 12 hours and want to send farmers before we truce. We can't if all spots are tied up because we don't want our fodder or ponies munched up if we recall them. I'm not going to kick and scream and demand the glitch back because I know it won't be listened to but maybe a compromise can be reached with the players so the serious ones can still play their game the way it is meant to be played, as a war game.

    Personally I think with the valley glitch the change that should have been made was a max movement time such as the pult speed where players can no longer float troops for days with no upkeep. And make it cost something but not the billions otherwise required.

    Also a bit of a heads up on changes would be nice. Just a couple days even. Saves me from making a mech army other day to come on today to....damn I can't move them anywhere, damn I have to feed them, damn I can't keep up with this upkeep, and finally damn I'm refuging cause I can't feed them, can't move them and can't use them.

    see you are not even sure if your own members are using exploits hmmmmm

    ethics is just a word that is thrown around. look at all businesses, they have ethics commitees to cover there butts when they know they have bent the rules in there favor.

    i dont trust anyone who plays the game and develops the game. ethics means nothing when you are in control of future development.

    I agree with the little more of a warning approach. These sudden changes upsets a lot of people.

    Also I understand the need for covert sleuthing regarding alien programs but maybe there could be some visual way of showing your progress with catching out the botters. I think people would like to see that too.

    I find this change will change my game play in a few aspects ..

    Most importantly this one

    When I port out of state my war city is loaded mill + of everything pike sword arch etc etc

    When people launched mech on me I would move troops to a valley and be able to defend this easier then taking the hit

    By now taking 10 slots for every mill troops chillin in a valley I cant do this .. changing the game mechanics of whats feasible to defend .

    I can agree with one "wave" is one slot on the valley .. but can this be removed from the sending cities Rally point ? so I can hide troops

    Even if 10 slots per valley then I can use 2 - 3 - 4 valleys whatever .. but the valley being linked directly to the RP sucks large

    I'm working with our programmers to get more of a lead time on these issues, in a perfect world we'll be able to give a day or two lead time for future bug fix notification. They won't be negotiable, but they'll be messaged prior.

    I'll talk to Thantium and his manager to see what we could do with regards to better messaging the bot removal, I don't think we will be making lists of who we've removed though.

    At least this is a step in the right direction. Doesn't address the major issues we're having but won't cause so much of an uproar with future changes if they have some advance notice.

    I agree it doesn't address the major issues, but it does address communications concerns. The major issues require our programming team.

    The defence issue should be addressed . bean playing evony for a long time now some changes are ok but the ability to move out troops is something that needs to be done in the game.If age 2 offered some of the same game options you would have more go to age 2 but, point in fact .This is age one and there is no place for cry babiess that didnt like the way things were becouse they say unfair at some point the valley transport wasnt unfair they could have done it also but the tampering with Defence issues to try and eliminate one issue isn't the way to go.Tell the cry babies to play age 2 it is more fitting to there needs. And next time there should be a vote from all players on certain issues like this one it was after all a option available to all players to use so it should have been left alone.

    Is there any word from the programming team on when the issues are expected to be addressed or is it still being looked into?
