    GOOD IDEA!!!!!!!!!! i mean honestly item prices are way to high i mean 10$ for a hero lvl up? crazy, i admit some of the prices are sorta good but others are OUTRAGOUS, lower the prices then more people will be speding more money, they will mostly use it to buy either 1) hero upgrades 2) teleports
    both of these things are crucial to a good server, the teleports make it so you dont know where anyone is forever and the hero upgrades make it easier for you to train troops therefore making the battles more extensive and more intense making the game much more fun

    Lets see they want to get the botters and multi-accounts. So I have attacks coming at me of 90k Catapults wave after wave. Others in my alliance have the same thing this happens day after day, Only way to compete is to bot or multi-account. Seeing I would not want to bot the second option would be my choice to level the playing field. I remember the reinforcement glitch where supplies would double over night. yet you fixed it and people had billions of everything. You left them with everything they scammed, Now they upgraded the bots to better detection avoidance(I just take lvl 5 flat and watch the same attack come 3 times a day at me.) I have spent a lot of time working my account up to where it is And a few coins as well. And I have bought coins for other players the odd time, but the best one was when I did a name change and went into another alliance was mailed about 3 days in with all the people that I had bought coins for from the host, then I find out a in game mod is part of the alliance so what goes on there? Maybe A Little in house help and who knows what other stuff they have access to. As for now I'm just waiting to see what happens next on the line to stay or go depends on whats next.

    Make this simple. Ban the whole lot. Botters, those who multi account, and those who use this loophole.

    Evony has been WAY too soft, despite to promise to close ANY account that's caught cheating.

    No, Evony doesn't close accounts.. a 3 day slap on the wrist.. that's all. That's NOT what Evony promised.

    Enforce your rules. I know this will mean you'll have to ban half or more of the players that are active and spend money. But WHY say you'll do so if in effect you don't.

    The level of botting on ss58 is probably about 60% of the server I'm sad to say, even sending in screenshots of people admitting in mail or whisper that they bot, doesn't result in a suspension or ban.

    Please, consider the use/value of a design plan/flaw before cavalierly discarding it.

    you cant catch the ones they are using now, and you know you cant, the only way to deal with this is give us honest players a way to compete, just give us the valley trick back, its simple, you can see this is what the PEOPLE WHO PLAY AND PAY want so why not give it back to us?????? i have spent alot of money on this game and really do enjoy playing it but this has really put a damper on it, the states are so locked down you cant port into a state to fight and there are not anyone left in our state other then our allliance. so what do you want us to do???? im open for a suggestion.

    Why are people derailing threads with information not relevant to the discussion on hand?

    This discussion is about the recent changes. Not botting, account sharing or whatever else is getting people stirred up.

    Try and keep it on topic and we may be able to make some sense of all of this.

    Closing the valley/free food marching bug has nothing to do with any of this.

    It doesn't put people on an even keel with the botters because cheating to beat a cheat is irrelevant.

    Drop the subject and propose some logical arguments for why evony's latest change is impractical.

    Not sure the rate is as high on SS39, but it's rampant all over. Evony doesn't catch the majority of the botters, if any at all.

    Good call, I missed it.

    You mentioned, "virtually impossible unless..." fixing this exploit does mean some previously established strategies will have to change. In high school I was taught naval strategy in WW2 - no longer relevant due to changes. This is a comparable situation, you know a strategy which is now obsolete, and a new one will rise in its stead.

    Defense was not crippled. One strategy is now obsolete because we fixed a bug. Initially we had intended for valleys to be hot spots where wars played out before an attacker got to a defender's city. Now in the current status quo a player will send an attack directly to another's city, where the defender will open gates, and it starts a troop v. troop war. It becomes more difficult to self reinforce, but it doesn't change the fundamentals of defense - the city's garrison defends from attack.

    If it was just one strategy that was now dead it wouldn't be as big a problem... but not being able to move out more than a million troops in any defence situation and then having each 100k of troops tie up a rally spot changes EVERY defence strategy. I'm not even talking about the loss of being able to move troops in fast... that part was obviously a glitch and it being fixed is understandable.

    I'm also not talking about using valleys as the base for battle... but using them as storage for extra troops so that defence can be set up properly in your city when under attack and a battle can be entered.

    Defence strategies that are now broken include:

    a) Being able to move out cav and phracts so they don't all die

    b) Being able to move out foot soldiers to present a pure mech defence against a mech wave

    c) Being able to move out excess pikes, swords, warriors so optimal troop loss in defence can be achieved

    d) Being able to launch counter attacks if you have moved out your cav


    It is now far too easy to cripple any war city that ports in to attack. Without being able to move troops out... there ARE no strategies that can be implemented unless everyone reduces their army size down to around the 1 million troop number... but then that still doesn't allow a counter attack.

    This changes a key fundamental element of battle and you will now see a loss of extended battles between players and more trucing and porting.... ie. 'no fun'


    This issue is extremely concerning for me... even though it gives me a huge advantage seeing as I have the ability to set my cities up to never have to move troops out ( instant walls/troops) but this game will be no fun for me if all my targets are sitting ducks with no options except to port. I prefer my enemies online so I can have fun outwitting them with battle tactics. I thought that was what Evony wanted to promote?

    I'm still confused why the glitch couldn't have been fixed by just asigning the speed of the slowest unit in the group being moved and applying correct food consumption.

    OK, point taken and agreed.

    I have posted, clearly and emotively, on the other thread, so I'll put it here as un-emotively as possible.

    1) The ability to collapse multiple waves into a single rallyspot wave in a valley was something that has been crucial to defending properly against many attacks. I believe, from information I read when a noob on s16 and following the startup guide, that this was part of the game design. I believe it should be put back.

    2) The free food was absolutely a glitch that was being exploited... don't have a problem with it going.

    3) The Quick Reinforce was absolutely a glitch that was being exploited... however, given the fact that Evony are unable to catch the botters (not going on about that), and do advertise as Free Forever, perhaps instead of removing this, it could have been embraced and sanctioned... or even something similar. This does provide a way for real players who love the game to compete with those who are making a mokery.

    Evony need people to pay.
    If the only way to play and compete is to be jobless with no life... how will Evony get money?
