the fact that you have taken the time to address this cht, well props. shame, we were all excited thinking the buzz was a merge on the 10th =(. we are suckers! lmao
dave, you've raised a good point but let's hear your honest response and have a decent discussion.
there are so many different things you could do to resolve this issue if you actually listen to players. It's your game per say but we, players, make it possible for your company to go on. Why can't you guys be open minded to players' requests and implement certain features which makes the game more enjoyable for players? At the end everyone will be happy. Happy customers will bring more profit to the company. Isn't this all about supply and demand? If customers want certain features which will make them happier then why can't you guys provide it? There are only 2 option: 1) you don't want to implement those features or 2) you don't have skills/resources. You can't ignore these issues by sweeping them under rug. You're not the owner of evony, you're an employee so why can't you tell us the real reasons for not implementing certain features. For example, implement a system which will make farming a lot easier (i.e., people can save cords on march screen, save selected troops, send out all available heros to selected cords with one click). These small little things will push people away from botting. If you really wish to remove incentive for botting, could you please look into this suggestion? By the way, I'm not the first one to suggest this.
You say you want to remove incentive for botting but let me tell you that this change will push more people towards botting or quit etc. Because you just removed big chunk of war. There's no manual to which we can refer to and say "ah that is a glitch". There's no way to find out if something was actually intended as part of game's feature or a "glitch". You just can't suddenly pop out and say "hey, we fixed blah blah glitch" when people have become accustomed to it and some even thought it was a game feature excluding 0 food part. You could have easily avoided this big uproar by simply fixing portion of it (removing 0 food trick) while keeping the rest and advertising it as a game feature. Hence, everyone knows about it and even/balanced/fair field and play.
*How much I love you I do not know;
but I do know I cannot live without you*
the incentive for botting is mainly 2 things. Food upkeep and not wanting to lose your city while offline.
1) If you take away food upkeep you destroy the market which would make 80 billion things go wonky. Plus troops would skyrocket to unheard of proportions, mechanics would cease to be effective because it would take so much to take down someones troops that by the time you did, someone will have logged on to the defender. Now i think you could alter upkeep. Warr/Work dont really need any consumption, while archers do. You could lower the amount it takes for mechs. That would make everyone happy. But taking away upkeep all together would mess too much up.
2) People need to suck it up, losing a city while offline is a chance you take while playing the game. Ban the botters, it's the better road to take![]()
as someone else just saidI'm much more interested in fixing the balance, and removing the incentive for botting
u just created the biggest incentive for botting with this new change.
there are only 2 options for players
1-bot
2-quit
also there is a third option of getting hammerd by botters all day but third option will lead to second one after a while.
best thing u can do is put the valley trick back as a start of showing u care about players.
and we still need a reply on why u wont fix the food glitch when it says 1m but it use 8m
and a reply on why u wont take a vote if u are telling the truth that ppl wanted the valley trick to get fixed. what will happen if u show us with a vote then we will stop whining.
for god sake reply to these .
huh? wut?
i think you'll find that the majority of us think this would be only slightly less annoying, ok sorry a pointless exercise... can someone please tell me how this would be useful?
before you waste anyone's time in discussion's and meetings regarding man hours to deliver a patch like this..... please be aware that chozart does not speak for all of us
this is the exact opposite of the way i would suggest you placate the masses
i think you'll find that if you were to roll back and then fix troop movement speed and food consumption... far less people would be crying foul
I would agree with you there, have no idea how this will improve anything.
Well this is how I see it. I don't think any roll back is wise. Evony back down on this and every time a new glitch is patched up which supposedly is a "feature" we'll get this ridiculous show of complaining & whining because if they keep on they'll get what they want-in my mind not good.before you waste anyone's time in discussion's and meetings regarding man hours to deliver a patch like this..... please be aware that chozart does not speak for all of us

However there is an issue with the food. I have noticed and so have others that the wrong food costs are showing in the rally spot. It's actually higher than it's saying.
Maybe some kind of increased marching speed and a relative reduction in food costs could be a consideration.
Lay-mans terms a little faster and less costly on the food bill.
Thanks to Infinitus for the epic B'day pressie!
