    Half true - a lot of people quit and give accounts away. These alt accounts are indeed farming 10s, they just aren't started from scratch, they were given by all the people that quit. So, while I agree that small alt accounts don't farm 10s, there are hundreds and thousands of people out there botting 10s with alt accounts.

    You don't have to farm 10s continuously, the point really is that it's being done while people are sleeping/working/schooling. This of course leaves all their time when they are on to attack, because their farming and troop building was done while they were away. Then there is me who has to put my farming time in when I'm able to play, taking away from any time in which I might have to attack.

    And oh, when you have 5 alts farming resources for you 24/7 it actually is pretty much possible to farm 10s and build troops all day long, I've seen it done.

    Yeah, totally false statement, the bot is so advantageous to main accounts as well, people are doing it because they realize they aren't going to get punished. Once upon a time people first started doing it with alts because they thought their main accounts would get banned, but now they realize it won't happen.

    I have said it in numerous other threads. These are the three roots causes of all of Evony's problems.

    Eliminate these and elimnate about 50 others issues.

    Unfortunately, based on statements in this thread, I have lost all faith in the idea that they will ever do anything about it... I only said what I said because it needed to be said.

    I cancelled my autocents after losing a heap of my 10 farms recently. This is the last straw for me. I am done with the game.

    Just wish i could get back the couple of thousand i dropped on it over the years not to mention the thousands of hours.

    Evony's answer for most things is that they never intended for aspects of the game to evolve the way they did.

    So clearly they never intended to make an awesome game and over the course of the last 6 months they have done their best to screw it up.

    Well thank you Evony for the fun I was "never intended" to have. And for the bitter taste left in my mouth as I reset my acct.

    Oh yeh and do everyone a favour and remove my dead acct so that it doesn't sit there dormant for the next 2 years... If by some chance Evony manages to last that long.

    Based on current trends that doesn't seem likely.

    If you hit the restart button, the cities are immediately gone. That's the problem with all the inactives, they walked away without hitting restart.

    if this true then why have you not fixed it on your newer servers? Wouldn't it make more sense to prevent the problem before it happens, rather than make changes on a server that is already dying?

    i thought that the change would not have as great an impact as it did till i got hit ..omg this change is awful i never used mechs and more them likely never will so doing the valley transfer "trick" never effected me in that way but try and defend a city now it's a joke you'll get hammered you can no longer properly defend against any inbound attack i studied and learned battle mechanics of this game for over a year i've been told by my attackers that i'm the best defence artist they've ever seen i can waste millions of inbound troops at minimal loss to my self or my city with proper adjustments of troops in and out of valleys while counter attacking the attacker, lol gone now..you have entirely changed the way this game is played in one fell swoop if at all possible please for the love of god allow more then 1 mil troops to be moved out of your city to any valley that you or an allie owns without tying up every single rs without this correction i'll be crushed by people that can make instant troops there's no way around it unless ofc i build a second city right on top of the one i'm trying to defend from which is totally not a viable solution for troop upkeep, lol unless it's totally empty and only contains food..just a thought

    Dave your participation in this thread is actually adding to the sense that we all are starting to feel that we have been cheated by evony in some way.
    There would not be one player that cannot recount a story were he `perceives` that s/he has been let down somehow by the company.
    Your style suggests that you are the `big guy` and that you are somehow doing the little people a favour be entertaining their whimsical ideas.And at the end of the day you will do as you please ,regardless.(Kinda like the coporate kingpin who finds himself standing next to the janitor in the alley while having his smoke break and politely chats while thinking of other things)

    This is by no way your fault as you are being who you are.

    But their are professional ppl who respond to thoughts/ideas for a living and who are able to foster an atmosphere where they are shared and given the due amount recognisation and empathy they deserve.
    Perhaps you should realise this is not your forte and spend some of the bucks we have given your company and hire someone more appropriate for the job.

    This has been a bad PR situation and i am suggesting that their is probably a person more qualified to be handling it as the face of the company.
    My post may or may not have been the right thing to do but at the time its an honest account of my thoughts.

    Well, Dave, there is a way to streamline it a bit. Rather than introducing a new character, city and army movement could be a function of the intel hero. Most folks use their intel hero until their studies at the academy are completed and then ignore him/her. So most of the revamping would have to be done at the academy - a new line of studies. Therefore, the higher an intel hero got the further he could port a city. When it comes to armies, the amount of troops that could be moved could be tied in to the rallly spot itself, (which already determines the amount of troops one can dispatch).

    While I realize that this requires major changes, (and therefore major cost) the result would satisfy everyone by leveling the playing field when it comes to porting and troop movement. The cost might be offset by offering certain buffs which the Mage would need in order to exceed the standard movement limitations. Something to think about anyway. I have to admit, I am pleased that someone from Evony at least thinks it's a good idea and worth a look.

    Ok, this is probably the reason a lot of Evony employees, Devs, etc, don't participate here. I realize folks are frustrated, but you have to realize that just because someone entertains a new idea doesn't mean they stopped working on current problems. This guy, Dave, put himself on the line by posting here in a positve manner. Lets give him a chance.
