Don't fall into JP's trap there neko. Just because you don't do something doesn't mean it's imbalanced

But on a more serious note, yes obviously those things are cheating and unbalance the game. They fixed yet another exploit today allowing free hero transfer. Give Dave and the others a chance, even if they ignored us the last 2 years, at least they are starting not to now. It's a step in the right direction, don't browbeat him back into silence and hiding from us.

In essence, we all know the difference between right and wrong, we are also all smart enough to get an idea of the rules of the game, if a catapult has a specific walking speed, and food cost for use, but if you pull off some voodoo hail mary play those costs can be avoided, does it fall within the rules? If it is something that convoluted, it is obviously a flaw being exploited.

How is a person to know what is and is not a cheat? That's like asking, what is right and wrong? We're not banning anyone for exploiting this flaw, nor are we of the opinion that anyone using it was a cheater. In my opinion, this was simply a flaw that needed to be fixed, and in fixing it other issues were made worse, which we must now fix asap.

As for a trick please read the first definition on this page. A glitch/flaw/exploit/bug is pretty obvious, and this game doesn't need a manual, the mechanic is exposed enough for anyone to read.

nice try rhubarb - fortunately some of us can read... davemata made the clear representation that it is based on reasonable behaviour and knowing what is right and wrong. In this case it was wrong to use the exploit and it was removed to prevent it being used - yet here we still see people trying to state otherwise.

    Default Seeking Clarification

i hide resources in my market to continue to produce more FREE resources.
As far as i know i have not seen this in any game guide although i am sure that lots of other ppl do it as well.

is this consider a glitch or a game mechanic as i can only save 10 x 9999999 of a type/s of resource. And should i hand myself in as a cheater because there is a percentage of ppl to lazy to find out these things.

And holy dooley!! i actually use this when attacked to OMG help myself replace the troops I lost therefore claiming an unfair advantage over the ppl that dont know about this.snicker.......

Did I miss the part where the Evony rep clearly stated that regarding the specific exploit we were discussing that he did not consider those using it "cheating" because you seem to read the whole post and miss that point. In fact did I miss the point where he specifically went out of his way to state it explicitly?

In fact he went on in TWO separate posts to state this quite explicitly.... ALL I intended with my quote of Dave was to specifically state that Evony specifically stated that they did not regard people who used this exploit as cheating... nothing more nothing less. The rest of the reasoning why I attempted to explain in detail... if you will please read one the followup posts I have asked a question to make sure I understand YOUR perspective correctly, can you please confirm this?

Are you so naive as to not understand that he had to say that in order to protect the revenue stream coming into the company, paying his paycheck, and enabling him to live his lifestyle?

Do you really think that it was just a "we're nice people" reason?

I'm always curious when reading these threads why people think you can only keep troops that you can actively farm for... and if you happen to have more... you must be cheating.

    This is how it's done...

    1) Build up food stocks by farming/plundering
    2) Build attacking army and feed them using surplus food
    3) Kill off troops attacking and plunder multiple billions of food off enemy.
    4) Repeat again and again.

Well, more mechanic changes? So now we will have to try to understand battle mechanics all over again. Took me 3 days of hard studying to understand current mechs. Thanks

Dave the actions of evony devs are trending servers to freaken colapse. Not a small portion of players used the valleys to move troops nearly 90% of my server used it. Cept for a handful of crybaby, 1 city ,no money spending kids. The players with the big armies are the players spending money. They have big armies and spend lots of money cause they want to win. You guys working on crap like this new hammer thing were you can build ten buildings at once. How are you gonna build ten buildings at once if you dont even have the res to build one??? Last night for god knows the how manyith time 50% of npc cleared. NEW PLAYERS DONT JOIN OLD SERVERS WERE THEY KNOW THEY WILL BE SO OUT GUNNED THEY CANT GROW!!!! ONLY THING YOU DO WHEN YOU CLEAR OUR FREAKEN NPC IS OPEN FLATS FOR MORE ALT ACCOUNTS THERE BY PROMOTING CHEAATING. TAKE THAT HAMMER AND BEAT SOME COMMON SINCE INTO YOUR HEADS YOUR KILLING THE GAME. These accounts that pop up when you guys clear our npc stay at o pres. they never grow only take up space and discourage the people who are spending money to quit. While you try to appease the minority of players which are the ones complaining about the valley troop movemnt, and yes those are the players that dont fkn spend!!! drive away your money players who is gonna pay the light bill? perhaps that is exactly wot evony wants age1 gone? He11 the botters are using better servers than the game runs on. I think you guys just act on whims without any for thought of consiquence or care for your money spending patrons. same old story with evony though. An entire forumn of wot 90% complaints about customer service and complaints of your changes to the game, and wot do you offer us a stupid fkn hammer to build 10 buildings at once while you strip our npc to the point we wont have freaken res to build one at a time. jesus christ you guys are complete morons
