    Default Banned? (Getting info)

A friend of mine today was asking me on Skype what happends when you get banned, How do you know when your banned and how do you find out how long.

I couldnt answer very much about it because ive never been banned. So can somebody tell me the basics about it?

Hmm, so when banned if you lose half your stuff, doesn't that mean they expect you to come back again?

when u get banned it can be 3 days, 7 days, or permenantly, when u try to log in it wont let you, an email is sent to the email attached to the account and the secondary email if you have one. there is a link in that email to reply to for more info and to fight it ( if you really were not doing anything wrong) you dont loose your cents or items, but people have come back to 1/2 walls and 1/2 troops and resourses too I believe.

There is a difference between banned and suspended.

    banned - lose account permanently
suspended - typically 3 or 7 days, they have taken away half resources and troops in the past, but I've heard from some people that it doesn't happen anymore.

From what is posted on the feedback site as of a few hours ago, botters are no longer being banned, just a "free vacation" and the halving of what they have. The company also seems to think that their detection methods are all super-duper and if they take 2 more years to finally get around to giving a slap on the wrist to someone, the customers that have had to endure the botter for all that time should just be happy that up to 2 years after they've left because of the abuse, something was finally done...

The company is so out of touch with any real sense of justice and fair play that no amount of words could begin to explain it...

Well, a YEAR ago when they last banned any bot.. if logged in at the time of a suspension or ban, you got a popup that said something to the effect of "This account has been frozen for violation blah blah blah" and it disconnected you. Any login attempt after that was "System denies your login for the moment"

The botting SUSPENSION is 3 days of forced holiday mode in which you cannot be attacked or refuge, which halves your resources, troops, and wall defense. But don't worry, if you complain enough they'll give you all that wall defense back AND double it so that you end up with 30k AT's.

The botting permanent ban is peacetime, where you can lose cities, heroes, everything. In this case you just cannot login ever again. But don't worry here either, if you complain enough they'll give you the account back eventually.... with extra walldef.

The charge-back through paypal ban is permanent holiday, never seen anyone come out of that one to know wtf is done with their account, if anything. I assume it'd be just as they left it once they paid evony every penny that was charged back.

The threat of, or temporarily but immediately cancelled, charge-back through paypal is a 7 day suspension via holiday, but nothing halved afterwards.

i have been all of the above before. they do not give anything back if you complain. after i got permabanned i had to wait almost six months before i just happened to be able to log into my account one day. evony never responded to countless emails i sent them or anything. they dont do that for anyone. read the other threads about people never hearing a word from evony. and if they DO double your crap if you complain after being suspended, then why the hell suspend the person in the first place? if it is true that they do, please tell me so i can start raising hell about it. thats like having a TOS agreement and not enforcing it at all, then helping the people that get caught breaking it.
Evony has enlightened me to the number of stupid people that exist in this world.

Actually Neko, I have seen a server sweep before ( a year ago when it was common to have botters banned) where a whole alliance got banned. First round, these people got banned for a week and lost half of everything. If they continued botting after that, they got perma-banned.

There are other facts to consider here. These people were given a chance to change their ways and when they didn't, they were taken out of the game. It's not just a slap on the wrist, at least it wasn't in the past. I think people should look into the facts before jumping the gun and making angry posts.

I've said multiple times in other posts in various different threads that a year ago they accused some people that were innocent. They stood firmly on stating that there were no innocents, until someone proved them wrong. Before someone proved them wrong though, there were extremely harsh and condescending responses coming from the company back to the players. Due to this, they're now timid in approaching the situation, which is ok to an extent, but the excessive glorification of their new approach as being uber-effective needs to go...

People need to consider the entirety of the history of a situation before drawing their conclusions...

I think it people had posts that had lots of in them, their posts would be sadder.
