Agreed. We implement the buffs for a time limited period, so it's against the spirit of the buff to have it right now. Which is easily fixed, yet not high priority.

Now, if you were to park say... all your 'pults at an alt that then goes into holiday - your paying 0 upkeep, and you can pull them back from that embassy at any time, right?

You can't holiday with troops in an embassy. So, you couldn't just park troops in an embassy and then put the account on holiday. They will get a message saying they can't holiday with troops in an embassy (not sure what the exact wording is). So, they only get an extra 3 weeks per account, but if you had say 3 extra accounts, which isn't unusual in today's game, you could milk an extra 2 months of free upkeep out for those pults you want to store by pulling the accounts out one by one (obviously someone has to put cents on the accounts to put them in holiday, but it's only 30 bucks for a month of holiday, so it's not that expensive to do).

Dave, the way its becoming excessively exploited is through the use of "alt" accounts.

If a player had x number of days of holiday and was willing to "pause" his account for 2 months and when he comes out he still only had x days left... well that might be against the "spirit" of the game but its hardly game breaking the way so many other things are.

Where it gets messy is through the exploitation of alt accounts in conjunction with it. I have 3 alts (all with enough cents to holiday and all have the buff). I holiday them all (freezing their timer) and let MY buff run out.

Then when MY buff expires I take one of my alts OUT of holiday park my expensive troops in HIS city (and then shuffle food over to feed them at half the cost). When HIS holiday expires I take ALT#2 out and move the troops. Using this technique I can keep significant amounts of troops at half cost for as many accounts as I am willing to maintain.

Working on reducing the alt accounts would solve 99% of the problem.

Personally I LIKE the ability to "freeze" my buffs and come back when I have time to take advantage of them, its only a problem in conjunction with alts.

    Ummmm, no

No offense, but shouldn't an Evony representative know, just as an example, how things like holiday work?

No troops allowed to be RI'd to an account in holiday.

All due respect Dave, but this kind of highlights the fact that Evony don't pay attention to the details.
