This bug has been present since day #1 and I'm suprised it's not been exploited more.
Basicly there is no server side check for joining an alliance, declaring or anulling. it's all done in the client, so if you use other apps you can join any alliance and decalre/annul without rank.
Seriously, more people didn't know this?
I *TRIED* to also respond and tell you that your culprit was a bot, but Acer the forum Nazi, I mean Mod, decided to subtract points from me and delete my post. Apparently we're not allowed to discuss bots on this forum, despite that every other post is about them.
I won't discuss bots in this post, I will discuss botters... those are allowed I guess.
Your problem is one of your members is a botter, and botters are bad people that can easily type in single lines with their bad programs (that I cannot mention), which allow them to affect diplomacy within the alliance even if they do not have proper privileges to do so.
This is a bug in Evony's code. It assumes that if you don't have a button to change diplomacy on your browser window, that you won't try changing it. The bad program has it's own button regardless if you have vice host or host.
I will assume this will be deleted also, and I'll lose another couple points of reputation, because god forbid we discuss problems within Evony or the people causing them.
This happened in ELITE on 149 b4 it disbanded. It was a truly horrifying experience especially as I was VH at the time. Our host dismissed both us VH from positions and it stopped. It was either the other VH or a spy using a bot/hack was watching very carefully as as soon as we were put back into position it started again. We all changed our passwords and it didnt help at all!
