It has astounded me too but there are some ways to make it look better
You get 600k of each resource from the 10 so its only
    23.4mil lumber and 16.9mil iron
Also they may hit extra 10s whose food they convert into lumber and iron to cover the losses. But honestly I have no idea.

So your saying Sell the 19Mill food and buy Lumber and Iron for the looses? wonder if there is actually profit in that. I might do some more math to see if its possible

It does work out, but there is a but.

The price of lumber has to be twice the price of food more or less.

When you first start out on a server with NPC10s it does not pay its way as the prices are not high enough, along with the archers losses, as the hero is not developed enough.

A spreadsheet, is a good idea. I converted everything into food as units.

But if you persist, and there are enough 10s around, your hero upgrades, you will have plenty.

Having the right recipe for harvesting helps as well, and there is some debate on this.

Best wishes to those who were in ICECOLD, MERC, HONOR on 131, SOLACE on 144, thePack2 on 158
