As the title says, how to get decent item drops.
How do you get a better drop rate from PvP warfare.Code:I'll keep it short and simple, hopefully people will try it out and get back on their results. It s been a somewhat known fact and I won't be surprised if evony changes drop rates/formulas because of this but this will help honest players that don't/can't hit NPCs like clockwork.
We have all seen hundreds and thousands of PvP battles pass with no return but honour, exp and res in some cases. But then there are all these fantastic ones on the forums and on our WR that have tons of item drops... How do some people get luckier!?
Well, here is the badly kept secret, as far as my research shows, item drops are somehow linked to what the loser of the battle had in their inventory.
I don't think medals drop that way, but MS, HW, HH, Teles etc do.
Basically, pizz off a coiner and get a battle out of them, preferably a defence that you will win. there is going to be a chance that they keep lots of MS, teleports etc to port around and to remodel their res fields etc. Pick up that info from whether they port around, if they have lv10 fields in development, if they holiday a bit.. stuff like that. Won't work if they don't actually 'spend' the cents.
The same applies to Mega Farmers. They get item drops just because of the sheer volume of farming they do. If they hit you and lose a battle, that has a pretty good chance of getting you items. Also works when attacking people and winning against them. But only the attack that finally kills their troops and wins.
So, in summary:
- Keep an eye out for porters, these guys are usually packing at least a few extra, defend well and win
- Invade the BIG NPC farms if you have the troops to do it, make them attack you, if their farming was any good you are going to reap the benefits
- If you have neighbours that holiday all the time, because they are too rich! Well, provoke them
- Attack Mega Farmers with timed SB and Attack/Plunder waves, clear out their walls and hope for an item drop if they let you win those...
All in all, worth a try if you are like me and hate to work hard for those items and don't drop a truckload of cash on the game. Keeps things in balance too.
I'm happy to share some love in light of getting some back all the time, and a lot recently. Apologies to any I've confunded or confused in recent posts/articles, I like my fun![]()
