How to be a good host!

Good host knows how to delegate, how to trust, how to be a lot of steps ahead of the rest.

Best of all, good host needs to decipher whats required from what is being asked for. Basic management skills.

Yup Lazzy is correct. I'm always there for my alliance & I'll happily guide them whenever they need me but I kinda prefer them to use their own minds.

It's simple really don't over do the diplomacy, promote mutual loyalty and respect. Have a good team work structure. Listen to everyone in the alliance, because hey there are people that know more than I do.

And as PF said it's down to good management skills. I encourage everyone to be prepared & try to keep drama away from blue chat. No alliance is any good if they are arguing all the time & haven't got enough troops in their cities.

agreed, similarly you can't write a thread about how to build a good alliance

some players like no blues, some like to have safe havens for some of their cities
some like lots of hostiles, some like one war at a time
some like a lot of chat, some want to log on, war and log off

... these are preferences none are correct

the measure of a good host and a good alliance is their ability to work and play well together

in my opinion hosts can be lurkers and sometimes its better that way
hosts can have a life they just need vice hosts and prebs they can trust and rely on to share some responsibilities
