    honor in age 2 has made the game pretty ridiculous, considering the HCs cant port away from being targets. . .

    so once attacks start, the defender just hopelessly gets farther and farther away from the reality of being able to attack back.

    i beleive the negative aspect of being a good defender has been pushing good players to the choice of closing gates and comforting, the only way to avoid having your honor driven thru the roof.

    i recently checked on a friend that has been playing server NA18, and saw that he has 475 mil honor!!!

    of course all the players that stay on the offense and dont really defend much will always argue that the system is just perfect, lol.

    Make Honour a currency that you can purchase items with, say food for example or even troop battalions. Make people think twice (once!) before sending their bad/honour dump attacks.
    Plus to stop it making strong players too strong, make the honour gain rate modified by total army size, similar to how prestige is modified by Town Hall level/number of cities.

    This thread is pretty ridiculous. Honor was designed to do exactly what it does.

    As the attacker you lose alot more troops than the defender, since anyone that knows anything about defending usually is able to kill many many many troops before they get broken. So the heal rate SHOULD favour the attacker.

    Honor is easy to play with if you know what your doing. Learn how the game works and stop trying to get changes that will ruin it

    so when the guy defending wants to attack back, or attack someone else completely, the heal rate should favor him? but it doesnt unless he goes and sacrifices a bunch of troops. that's where the system doesnt work!!

    so dont be a know it all and claim everything is undebatable, we're just tossing around some ideas mister!!!

    you drop honor 5x faster when you have the bad heal rate... so when one guy kills a whack of troops to give you 10 mil honor, you kill WAY less than that to drop it all and give it back to him.

    If you want to play smart you could get the jump and attack him first, or have treb cities near to people that can hit them... there are many many ways to deal with these situations that are easy

    i loved the treb city honor dump in age1.

    i tried it in age2 and it did not work

    so what about age 2 when 10 guys port on you and within hours you are at 100 mil honor? which guy do you attack to drop your honor? you cant truce your HC to regroup. . . so you are supposed to have enough extra troops laying around so you can drop 100 mil honor?

    NA1 Atlantis would be at 1 billion honor if he kept the gates open, what would be the point of playing once that happens?

    i like the ideas of honor becoming a currency or something that you could as a defender choose to sell off to keep yourself competitive. I saw my friend on NA18 with 475 mil honor, how many troops would he have to dump to get back into the attack mode?
