..... a continuously expanding form of communication and expression on the internet.

So, I was wondering what social networking sites and social media sites my fellow evonians use...
so dish up!
I personally use Facebook and Twitter actively. I use a variety of clients for twitter but mostly tweetdeck and their website. I did try tumblr once, but didnt really get into it... I use skype and oovoo, and actively participate on many forums.

The only one I even slightly use is Facebook, and even then it is only for private messages. I do not want everyone I know to be able to know everything I do and think. Something that seems to be true of most people is that they either do not know, or do not talk to most of the people they have listed as friends on these sites, I have even found out my family is larger than I thought. But I think it is a poor way to meet someone you are related to, it is too impersonal.

Well, I blog on blogspot, so I have a facebook account to share my blogs pieces but I have no friends probably because I refuse to open my email accounts for facebook to rifle around in, or provide them with enough personal history to track me down. I have skype but rarely use it.

I participate in a few forums but in different ways. Some are just game related but others range in discussions from gardening tips to right down the rabbit hole of international politics. It requires shifts in persona at times but it's all relevant at different levels.

I never was a fan of twit, err I mean tweet

I have photobucket and youtube accounts but they are more for storing stuff than social interaction. I used to play a big MMORPG that was in itself a big form of social media really, as is Evony but I found those types of games tend to take too much time from other things.

I wonder how many people use, or even realise they have, the built in email facillity that is in every computer? I, like most, use accounts online at the bigger providers for email activity but every computer these days has a built-in modem and a built in email facillity that can be used under almost any circumstances, as long as a telephone connection is available. Sorry if this is off-topic but I was thinking about the impact that social media was said to have had in Egypt and how Mubarak shut it down by shutting down a few major social media sites.

Social Media Like Facebook, Twitter are very Popular Now days. I like facebook because in Facebook you can chat with friends and also listening as well as Playing Games.

Bookface - Constantly. I have alot of people i need to keep informed on my every movement and action. Therefore i need the status up dates to let them all know if i so much as breath more then 15 times a min.

I also use skype, But only really for you Forum lot. I have like 3 RL contacts on there, Who are never online so i cant pester them.

I have never used Twitter. But want to just to follow the sheen.

I think i have a bebo some where, but not been on it in about 3 years.
