I agree with you that Hero is one of the most important part of the game and i can safely say that many have quit or find reason to quit as a result of lossing their best hero.
Here is my opinion, it is not hard to find cities with high attack heros, and may be a bit challenging for some to detect if the city is un-attended.
If we find these city hosting a very attractive hero, then most of us will go above and beyond to capture that hero, often this cause serious frustration for the attackers, when someone else log on in their account to save the city , which in turn save the hero.
Account sharing is one major issue most attackers have specially if there is a good reason to capture a city. However, as an attacker, we all should consider if the situation is reverse, would you also complain if these happen to you if you were not able to log on to save your city? I would assume your answer is yes, given if the hero in that city were of any important.
This issue is a bit complicating, because 1 fix may cause more problem or throw the game into chaos.
I have propose in the past that any uncaptured hero should be allowed to return to the nearest city or random city own by the same defenders, in a new tab in the event the defender loses a city. These Uncaptured hero could be place in a new tab under rally point waiting to be re-inlist, while leaving feasting hall un affected, ofcourse either you dismiss weaker hero or capture a new city before being allowed to re-enlist this hero or if you have adequate slot to accomodate this hero.
I believe capturing hero should be randomize or atleast base off on thier attribute as their survival rate. The same for attackers, were certain combine hero attribute has a better chance of capping certain hero and any uncapture hero should retreat to their nearest city. This is a long shot and i doubt I'll find anyone to asupport or agree with this method.
These new changes could set players to experiement on how this capping hero or attribute can affect their success to cap a specific hero and on the reverse side how it can help them avoid capture, thus allowing better distribution of point to their attribute that works together to potentially save the hero or atleast increase thier chance of escaping capture.
