I seriously doubt however that any country that committed such an atrocity would be bereft of people against it.
When the country is the entire world, you can easily rid of people who don't follow your views.

I believe you when you say that people didn't know about it. As long as their daily life isn't effected, what does it matter to most people? But when it becomes a national holiday, a national celebration. And the ones who didn't know, if they don't believe, they will be hunted down and taken out.

This discussion highlights why I think students should be given a variety of primary sources to analyze, rather than a second hand account presented as "fact". History is not a dead discipline - historians today work and publish to re-evaluate conceptions of the past. History classes should be about teaching students to think critically about the past and bring those skills to thinking critically about media sources concerning current events today.
Wow ... it's been a really long time.

I think that the history of events concerning the current times i.e (1914-present day) will be alot more accurate due to rapid communication and that there will be alot more objective accounts of what is accurately going on as opposed to something that happened before the era of communication that we have today.

My take on the OP's search for an opinion is that how people interpret the history of a given war depends on their life expierience.

This has been stated by a few in this thread.
Some individuals, regardless of the side they or their heritage belong to,will be able to judge for themselves, what is more likely to be fact than semi- fact

Most, if not all people, are capable of seeing the truth if they truly desire and are free without persecution from friends and family to do so!

Just my opinion and I won't go in to the stories of various clans, nations and tribes that have commited acts similiar to what the German nation is known for!

I totally agree! Pretty tough to hide from 6 billion handhelds.
