how do I get randomly chosen to do the next survey? No one in my alliance even got selected, actually on the two servers I play on not one person I know got selected . . was this an ageII survey? Just my opinion but you think evony would want to collect opinions from a larger group of players. Out of the 6 alliances I asked, not one person had been selected . . thats 0 out of 600 . . seems to take the meaning out of the survey when so many people were left out. again this is just my opinion

To do so could invalidate my results and cause me to have to toss the whole thing out, with a net effect of having learned nothing. So please, my one request - don't give the link to anyone. I spent a lot of time on this survey along with our marketing director, we'd like to ensure that our efforts, and the efforts of those responding were not wasted.
You know Dave, you could salvage things by verifying the email addresses provided in the surveys.
The email address provided should match an actual player with an actual active account. If the email provided is used on multiple surveys then the first occurance of the email provided (the first Survey completed by said email) is the one that wins.
And if players submit emails that are not connected to any active game account or not connected to any account at all then those results should be tossed anyway. Just assume "x" percent of results are going to be from players who shared the link. It's going to happen. It's like asking a group of young people not to drink at their friends huge house party.... not gonna happen. Alcohol IS going to get snuck in.... lol.
I just assumed everyone got the survey. I was surprised to know it was random. But I guess regardless it will offer about the same feedback.

Yup. The random sample is because it's impractical to attempt to survey an entire population at once, due to a few variables at hand, I think one of them could be likened to your SEEA if I remember your acronym correctly.

One problem I see with a random, limited survey that rewards participants with amulets is fairness and equality.

Shame on evony and there Product manager, marketing director for not realizing this.
By rewarding selected ("random") players, the game dynamics have been changed, altered by "the team". Kind of like changing the rules at the table after the cards are dealt. Don't you think?

I was sent the survey on both N4 and 149. Same email address for the game on both of those servers. I holidayed the N4 game early yesterday morning, the 21st. I'll compare the two URLs to see if they are the same.

At any rate, I agree that a random survey with rewards is unequitable. They do this same thing all the time though, with various promotions being offered to some people and not others, such as some people can spend the same amount of money and get more game coins for it, or some people can earn game coins by doing ad-click stuff or signing up for other sites and other people only have the choice of spending money, etc...

As for the notion of ballot box stuffing, even the way it's done now, there's no guarantee that one person didn't get more than one survey and reward, since it's highly likely that someone would get the survey for their main account and an alt, main account and multiple alts, or just multiple alts.

It should've been either a random survey with no rewards, or a mass mail to all customers that gave the reward if the survey was completed.

I'm certain surveys would be completed and sent without rewards. Responses may be a bit different yet likely more honest.

I thought the survey was for everyone. But it was said that the results were going to be tallied manually. Since this is the case then allowing everyone to participate would be unreasonably cumbersome. As for the reward... well, most surveys offer a reward. In this case the reward is not so great that it puts non-participants at a disadvantage. I mean, it's 2 wheel spins. Evony gives away 1 free wheel spin per day to every player. Plus with facebook you can get free wheel spins from friends. So in this case the reward is really quite trivial. I don't think it is something that needs to be argued.
The main concern here is getting accurate survey results back. Meaning, actual players did them. Not alts. Not others who were not selected for it, etc..

This is where you, again, have too much of an Age II-only mindset. Age I players don't get the free amulets from Facebook. If I happen to spin 1000 cents, then I do get a large advantage.

Actual players have alts. The odds of a person getting the survey sent to their "main account" and to an alt that they also control, or nothing to the main account and surveys sent to multiple alt accounts is of a non-trivial amount, which means the survey pool is tainted anyway.

I know you're not going to understand and will argue this with me ad nauseum, so I thank you in advance for your arguing and agree to disagree with you.
