So it's basically a virus that prevents another virus? Looks like the zombie apocalypse is closer than we thought...

Were there zombies in I Am Legend? I thought they were just mutant humans that were incapable of some of the highers functions of normal humans.

If it gets rid of hiv/aids, who cares.

There is no cure for AIDS (as it really isn't a disease and more of a lack of a good immune system) so I believe this only applies to HIV. Now we must wait on a cure for cancer.
