Some players does the calculation and forgot to minus the excalibur.
The method or formula to removing excalibur is 20%. then minus level.
Here is an example.
Hero level: 162 with an attck total of 305
Using the none excalibur formula which is attack total minus levels.
305-162= 142
The 142 has been confusing alot of players and have forgotten that an excalibur were used to add additional 25%, increasing the total attack significantly.
Using the minus excalibur (-20%) formula and the above formula you should be able to get the actual base.
total attack -20% -level = base
305-20%= 244- 162 (level) = 82 that is the actual base.
Looks like you guys got the formula down.
I have heard of this but never seen it before. simply WOW.. how i wish for once in my life time playing evony that i could own one.

In WAR, one must decide their faith, or others will decide yours.
Think you can read it without laughing? Go ahead and try it http://bbs.evony.com/showthread.php?...19#post1810519
Nice post mate. so all in all , 89base or some would say 90 base, is the best based hero in evony .. Thanks looks like i won my debate))
guys and gals i have been playing this game for over a year now....i have had some of the best heros on all servers i have played and look at a holy helm hero, that is the best base heros you can get....there are no heros on AgeI over a 89 base. The way to get the base take the level of the hero and subtract it from the level of attack, poli, intel what ever the main attribute is. You will find that either you were not doing it right or the people have a buff on their hero....excal,WON,Art of War.
Billy....look at this...i would say this is proof that at least ONE exists out there that is higher than 89. I am assuming that like is said in later posts that Evony has since put a cap on the heroes. But the dude's math is right. And since there are enough people who read this forum who would have cried foul if it was a photoshop, I am believing what i am seeing.
And BTW- MOST people have been playing over a year now.![]()

The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving on.

89. No discussion required.
Any idiot who thinks they see a hero with a 200 base is looking at a hero with excal/won/aow applied.. and is an idiot.
Ive got 3 89 base heroes, and i play on the first live server. I have never seen a hero over 89.
wow....to call someone an idiot without looking at the proof is in itself a form of idiocy, don't ya think? Did you even look at the screen shot? Do the math, like i said in an earlier post, i would say that it proves that at least sometime in the past Evony did NOT have caps on the heroes.
DO THE MATH! We ALL know how to subtract the Excalibur.

There's an extraordinary reason for this 'extraordinary' base
A long time back, Evony 'restored' the heroes of a few players after an incident. Just like those who were 'restored' more archer towers than a Lv.10 wall can support, a few players got their hero-bases doubled.
Those who had Mars Helms and Plate Helms (like the one above with a 70+ base) had the hero's base doubled. Ahem, Mallatar wasn't the only lucky player
In another curious incident, two players had their entire accounts doubled. That meant 18 cities, twice the heroes, etc. In short, they ended up with multiple sets of twin heroes (and four were instant-scout heroes).
Those heroes exist even now. The players were clever enough to quickly change the names and also upgrade them differently after that 'restoration'. However, for more than a day, it was strange to see twin heroes on the Statistics page, identical in every respect - owner, picture, base, attributes... everything.
If I remember correctly someone did post something on the forums about hero bases being higher in the past. Nowadays it's been set at 89, but any veterans from the good 'ol days that still have their heroes from then might possibly have higher bases.
EDIT: Read the above post.
Thanks to Infinitus for the epic B'day pressie!
