Nor is an account not gaining prestige proof as to it not being an alt.
We can joust with words and tapdance on technicalities, but I think if one were objective, and observant, one would know that this tactic is easily exploited. Could it be used to "cover up" legit attacks? Sure, it could. The question is though, is that the primary use of the tactic, or is pestering the snot out of someone the primary use of the tactic?
The company has skirted around this a time or two, stating that it can be used as a legit tactic, but made restrictions on the total camp time. Unfortunately, the "bad apples" amongst us spoil the whole batch.
I've witnessed this tactic being used. It was not used to cover up legitimate attacks. It was done back in day when holiday mode required there to be no attacks inbound, thus the people doing it then did it explicitly to hold someone hostage and not let them use holiday.
Basically, the tactic can be exploited to just grief someone, and every now and then, as rare as it might be, Evony will decide to invoke the idea that this is "against the spirit of the game". It is my opinion that they don't do this often enough. The evidence of this is how rampant all forms of cheating and / or underhanded tactics are used.
I used to enjoy this game. Used to....
Knowing how to grief someone is different than actually doing the deed. As I just explained, there are far too many dishonorable people playing the game these days.
