Well, if it's not part of the shared code base, then that was a bad design too, although when you're not the frontline developer, you only get the code that you've purchased as the core, and then you modify what you want modified.
In any case, the fact remains that precious little is done about botting and multi-accounting. The claim is out there that "hundreds" of accounts are suspended per day. All I can say is that news of large-scale suspensions would quickly spread throughout the customer base, at least server-wide, if not game-wide. I haven't heard of any suspensions like that in months (the recent Eric stuff doesn't count), yet I know for a fact that 90%+ of my own alliance violates one rule or another. That trend likely holds for the entire server. Even if it were to trend downward to only 75% of the entire server, that still is a large majority.
Like I said, I used to enjoy this game... If they're not going to do enough about cheaters, then at least give people some tools to ignore the riff raff...
