Or but a different color circle arranged in an arc around the message icon.

    Red for Enemy
    Orange for Army Movement
    Blue for Ally Info
    Green for Army
Yellow (with black letters) for Trade
White (with black letters) for Other

And do the same for the Ally Icon

Red for Defense War Reports (clear by viewing the war report tab)
Green for Attack War Reports (clear by viewing the war report tab)
Blue for new members (clear by viewing event tab)
Orange for war declared (clear by viewing event tab)
White for friendly declared (clear by viewing event tab)

Or something like this. Better than having that annoying green blob that won't go away when I have attacks out. And no able to tell if it's a plunder, trade, or citywide party.
I like this idea! I hope they can implement something like it.

Just being able to clear the flag would be nice!

It's more fluff... what's concerning is that it's yet another stealth-patch w/o any notes to review.

There's quite a few bugs in it. I have alliance members who can no longer chat. They get 'null' error messages now. Plus, all attack reports are gone. Also, you cannot reinforce towns with siege weapons. You get a 'insufficient space' msg... which leads me to wonder if there are now troop caps or something else...

But again, the main point is that there is zero notice... again.

I'm not singling ByronXAN out here, but the example has surfaced again.

This is the kind of abstract, self-appointed dev posting I've been trying to get everyone past. Apparently, you need to review in advance and approve any and all patches. Exactly how long have you been on the payroll?

Would patch notes be nice to have? Sure. Are they necessary? No. Do you or anyone else in the game need to review the devs work? No.

Having advanced notice of major changes would be great. Perhaps, some players would take advantage of such a notice to make changes. However, most players wouldn't because they expect everything to stay the same forever. Change happens and will continue. Adapatation is one thing the human species has going for it. Use it, please.

Can anyone, other than myself, understand the business and technological side of UMGE? At this point, it doesn't appear so. Flame me because I dare to undersand more than just one side. I get it's frustrating but you have to be expecting issues as they will be ever-present in every game.

Were these problems posted in the bugs forum? The devs can't fix that which isn't brought to their attention.

Kempion why dont you stop trying to tell people what they can and cannot write/complain about. If you are not a dev in disguise will you just please stop acting holier than thou and allow everyone the freedom of speech(text)! Also,on topic, i cant understand why they have changed the message alert so that you have to select your messages to see what is going on,waste of time!finally,if the devs said they would inform us of all patches unless in an emergency then regardless of the content(minor as this is)they should have told us.period.

Wow. Never have I seen such demand for devs to report to players before.

    Aye, aye, cap'n!

Also, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that if you have unread markers, and there is nothing in one tab, (usually army), go check another one (usually trade). LOL

Also they zonked my entire history of saved reports, meaning the comparisons I had saved on different troops results against NPC's just went bye bye.

What would have been much more useful is a new report tab showing the status of construction and research in all your cities... I've been noticing that the "context tip" when you hover over each city icon has had a real lag problem... better to roll it up in a simple text report and get rid of the graphical hover mini-report IMHO.
i completely agree i needed my saved reports so i know who and what i attackd w/ and what not.. kinda sad now

These people can't find their ass with both hands.
Ive been sending in bug reports for days about trade reports not showing up and never knowing what i sold or bought.

I have sent bug reports about not being able to erase or mark as read their system message about troop restoration (identical, duplicate mails 15 secs apart, too) when i get "invalid mailing operation" pop-up

Been sending bug reports about why their ghost of who won freaking what- who cares on the WOF covers up the header for the reports (still does)

But oh, we gots some purty colored balloons to tell us jack **** now...
    Big fracking whoop

These ass clowns are not getting another 0.001 Cent from me.
