If you are unable to get the benefit of the exchange of money for virtual items, then that really equates to handing over money for those virtual items, and nothing more.

People give money for the utility (usage) of the items. If they use them, but have a situation where their usage is interfered with through fault of the company, which this lag is indeed fault of the company (100% sure here, from experience in Information Technology), then they are most certainly not receiving the full utility of the item(s) purchased.

This situation would be different if it was the fault of the customer. For example, I have a Wealth of Nations applied on server n2. The hero it is applied to is a Holy Helm of Mars hero obtained on the very first amulet spin of the new game I started to investigate the lag being reported. It was a politics hero, and having a Holy Helm hero combined with the Wealth of Nations boost would enable me to get many more constructions completed than I would've been able to otherwise.

The problem: I've been sleeping quite a bit.

Is that the fault of Evony? Nope, and thus I have no right to complain about the loss of utility of the Wealth of Nations.

HOWEVER, if the problem was:

- Severe lag to where I have to wait long periods of time between actions.
- Get kicked off the server multiple times, with gaps of 30-60 minutes before being able to log back in again.

...then that is the fault of the company, not my fault, and thus I would have every right to complain. If I spent money, then even more so, as the utility (usefulness) of the purchase has been diminished through fault of the company.

Understand?
