I think there is a subjective component to what one views as "lag". Over on server n2, there is some lag, to be sure, but absolutely nothing like what I saw this morning when I made an account on ss57 to test. Also, sorry to break it to the people on ss54, it was far worse than anything I've ever seen on ss54.
Evony needs to get some experienced people involved, and not worry about pride issues of not seeking outside help. If I were the manager responsible for the issue, I'd want a good network engineeer (CCNP / CCDP or higher) and a good DBA (someone accustomed to working with very large datasets with high server loads) involved.
