Also, I hope everyone knows that there ARE places where freedom of speech doesn't apply. For instance - yelling 'Fire' in a crowded movie theater or 'Bomb' in an airport. It annoys me when people come on forums such as this and feel they can say whatever they want to whoever they want and try to claim freedom of speech...

Also, I do agree that there are forums (especially true of gaming forums where moderators also play the game) in which moderators do not rule consistently across the board. When that is the case and you know that's the case - feel free to leave the forum at any time.
I hate the "argument" that can be rephrased as follows: 'Like it or lump it.'

How about this instead, maybe if there's a problem, try to make it better?

e.g.: "If you complain about america that means you HATE america, so get out."

Maybe I like america but I'd like to make it even better instead of making it worse?

"If you complain about a forum that means you HATE the forum so leave"

Same thing. Now if you continually bash your head against the wall or just yell "OMIGAWD THE MODZZZ ON THIS BORED R SO STUPID AND SMELL LIKE POOP" then clearly that's not geting anyone anywhere and you probably should leave, but creating a topic to raise valid concerns where you feel a problem should be addressed is not something so crazy out of line.

At the end of the day the response to those topics can be whatever they want, either ignoring, closing down, response, whatever, and that response will likely dictate whether people in singles or en masse stay or go, but that doesn't mean that there's no reason to bring it up in the first place.
