Well, it's almost the middle of Summer and for some us the clock has begun to sound a back to school countdown. So I thought I'd start this thread again, with two purposes:

1. A place to ask questions about education or school issues.

2. A place to say what you are knowledgeable in, so that when school starts we can match forum members with questions to experts who can assist them.

Okay I'm going to High School on August 25th. While I was in middle school I was a class clown. I did all sorts of things to make teachers mad. I threw confetti, I was facetious, I had a weird laugh that would make teachers mad but make my peers laugh. Several times the teachers would tell me if I did this stuff in high school I would get suspended. So my question is:
If I act a fool in class, throw confetti when not appropriate, and make annoying noises in class will I get suspended? If yes then how long?

If they are like my high school teachers they will make you look like an idiot so people aren't laughing with you but at you.

You probably won't be suspended. It really depends on the teacher. Some are fine with that while others are not. I doubt you would be suspended. A detention or referral is far more likely unless you hit the teacher when throwing things.

The only thing I ever thrown in class that was not permitted is confetti. I didn't even throw it in class I threw it off the bridge after lunch.

You have a bridge at your school? You should have fallen off and sued them

I hit my female 3rd grade teacher in the chest with an eraser from a pencil and got suspended for a week.
