Most of our teachers keep control of the classes. It's only on things like buses and during lunch and morning break that weird stuff happens, like having a game of football inside a classroom, or being racist about the Welsh (that happens daily, almost hourly in my year) and also throwing paper aeroplanes at the bin and 'accidentally' (actually, that's harsh, most probably were) hitting the teacher.

Now that half of the teachers who taught me last year are gone... I'm not sure how much we'll be able to do. Almost the whole school hates the new headmaster, even the teachers (which is why most left, in my opinion. I know for sure some certainly did).

As Some of you may know I go to a trade school and head back in the mornin' So you guys mightn't be able able to give me a hand on many things, Though if push comes to show you can drop me a line bout stuff to do with Aust. and the odd bit bout the Wars of the 20th Century and I'll try to lend a hand whenever I can.... But expect to be asked a few things to do with English (Bole I believe is an English Teacher?)... And DoubleM I got suspended for informing a sub teacher (inschool for 1 day and out of school for 1) that he had male anatomy attached to his forehead... I still think he told me to F*** off...

I was a civilian for like 5 weeks so I wasn't allowed in here to read and participate in this thread.

So my question is:
If I act a fool in class, throw confetti when not appropriate, and make annoying noises in class will I get suspended? If yes then how long?

Probably, yeah.

I mean, it depends. If you're in the smart classes, you'll probably get 1 warning from the teacher, then 1 warning from the vice principal then they will demote you to a lower level class.

If you're in the stupid classes, it'll probably be funny for like the first 2 1/2 times but then you'll get in trouble. They'll write you up on whatever behavior score keeping system they have. My HS had a in-school detention called S.T.O.P. (i don't remember what acronym stands for) and I would get sent there whenever I fell asleep in my French class, which would happen often since it was right after lunch. I would just go there and sleep more. But then after you get sent there 5 or more times or something you got a 1 day suspension. It just kept adding up.

Throwing anything into a crowd of people in a high school could be assumed to be anthrax-laced confetti and the police officer assigned to your school could shoot and kill you. Schools don't really mess around anymore. Everyone is paranoid.

I have a couple of questions. Why were you trying to make the teachers mad? Why are you throwing confetti and making noises?

In answer to your question, suspension is a pretty big punishment. It is not the first action a school will want to take (unless there is no other choice) because it results in you being absent for a few days (maybe 3?) in what is probably a state accountability assessment year, and suspensions show up as statistics (by race) downtown. So a high school won't go straight to suspension. At my school, I'd be asking you the questions I asked above, then we'd go to a team meeting, then a phone call home to schedule a parent conference, and I would be documenting throughout. So before it got to suspension there would be a number of interventions. Another thing you need to know is that by the time it gets to suspension, you have lost all control over your fate and are in the hands of administrators.

I wasn't trying to make the teachers mad, but I did think to myself if that would make them mad. I was throwing the confetti, because it was a day in class where we were having big tests that week. So after about 2-4 hours of testing we would just cut out stuff for a big invent coming up. While we were cutting there was peaces of paper left over. I had the idea on my mind to take the paper scraps and use them for confetti. I save the paper scraps for the next day after lunch(after lunch we stand on a bridge for about 5 to 7 minutes waiting for the teachers to finish eating). I threw the confetti off of the bridge yelling,"CONFETTI, CONFETTI, CONFETTI." My 8th peers enjoyed and all but one 7th grader enjoyed the show. She told a teacher and then he came and got me while we were watching a movie in class and he had me to pick it all up(the confetti was mostly in the grass).

If he could shoot and kill me just for paper going in the air then I think I will be good in high school.
