I'd have yo agree with Alusair. I think many times people blame religion instead of the people themselves, when in all honesty every person is responsible for their own actions, decisions, opinions, and beliefs. I don't deny that culture has a huge influence on the aforementioned things, but culture is not responsible for them as many people portray it to be.

His friends claimed he became extreme as far as nationalism went, etc. These opinions probably developed all their own, inside a twisted mind. You can't blame religion, or government for that matter, for a twisted mind. there was a screw loose somewhere in his brain.
But in all seriousness, there's a movie called Rampage.. with a VERY similar chain of events to what happened. Planning for months ahead of time. Giving a subtle hint or two. Beginning the massacre with a bomb. Shooting dozens to death, regardless of who they were.
