to stay on topic - if you see how he kept shooting on these teenagers - how can you come up with 'he dont deserve to die' for that? look em in prison is never a guarantie that they cant do it ever again.

way you keep looking at it as a way to pay back what criminals did? too blinded to see that death penalty is the best and most effective way to protect all others from happen it to them one day? and why the gov should not do so? the police and the court get payed to protect all from those sick people. its their job. if all would take the law in their hands it would be a mess. you need someone keeping an eye on things

Because it is my belief, as well as almost the entire world's, that no one "deserves to die" no matter what their crime.

The way to pay back criminals for what they did is to isolate them from the community in prison and depending on their crime, isolate them further with solitary confinement.

I'm not blind at all. I used to be fully for the death penalty and I would argue the same stuff that all you pro death penalty people argue. But then I accidentally stumbled upon a newspaper article that was about how capital punishment does nothing to decrease crime rate or deter future murders. And then a little bit later I realized I was an atheist and if I kill an ant it doesn't go to a pearly gated cloud world and play with all it's ant relatives for eternity, it just dies is gone from reality forever. Then I read a little more and learned that humans are fallible and make mistakes on a constant basis and that in turn spills over into the justice system which also makes mistakes because it was conceived, is run and carried out by these mistake prone humans and many people have been falsely accused, convicted and punished for crimes they did not commit.

So even though Anders Behring Breivik did kill almost 100 people single handed he does not deserve the death penalty because if he is killed for his crimes someone who is innocent of the crime they were convicted of committing will also be killed.
